So last night we had to watch the game from the aisle. Couldn’t move past anyone and the area of our seats and seats themselves were taken. What’s happened there? Surely they can’t oversell tickets?

The away end at Bramall Lane is grim, stewarding even worse. There will have been seats at both ends, but people move to the centre for a better view and atmosphere. This creates the crush in the aisles. It happens every time (it even occurred in the Women's Euros matches in 2022).
The major problem is that the away end is scarcely fit for purpose.

Yeah that’s what I assumed but on TV it looked full everywhere

They oversold tickets. They must have. Loads stood in the gangways.

It was the same at QPR. Every block and aisle were full, you couldn't move.

I was in the corner and there were spare seats, people just deciding to go where they want causes most of the problems

Ah ok. I was expecting to see so many empty seats at both ends because everyone was central but on TV it looked full. That will be it then

There were empty seats at both ends. Not large numbers, but enough to account for the crush in the middle.

i was close to the corner, it seemd full but not overcrowded. when taking the family i now insist on getting in at least 30 before ko to claim our seats as i don't want us to have to split up or stand in the aisles.

best thing about being in the corner last night was that celebration after rudonis winning goal with all the players, one of the best celebrations of the season so far

We were 3 rows from the front and there were some gaps, so at half time we got our mates who were further back to come and stand by us.

It was rammed and hard to get to seats...but what a result

We were in the opposite corner to the goal celebrations and there was no space. All aisles full, nowhere to go.

The away area can't cope with the number of people in it. The entrance and bar area were packed solid when we arrived

Queue to get in was ridiculous, no idea how clubs manage to get that wrong.
