Well played today, we looked very solid bar the first 10 mins.
Allsop-7- solid performance, one top class save in yeh first half, I thought it was destined to go in. Kicking was good and impressed me. Would be good to have him for the full season.
Clarke-6- nothing amazing but nothing particularly bad with his performance, he could have done better with his chance, but he did the right thing heading back across goal, probably didn't realise how much time he had. But got forward well and defended well when required.
Willis-6/7- solid, got his head in when needed and cleared up well, when Sheffield tried to counter.
Webster-8/9- my man of the match. Excellent performance, dealt with the long balls really well, cleared set pieces well and an excellent clearance off the line in the last couple mins.
Reda-7/8- fantastic signing by the looks of it, offers a huge presence in both boxes and organised the defence well and defended well throughout, although a few misplaced passes at times.
Haynes-7- looks like a huge prospect, again another assist for the kid, his crossing is fantastic, defended well and he didn't let them cross, handeld the pressure well at the end when they sent more bodies forwards.
Fleck-6- dictated the play well, and as usual spread the play fantastically and covered well when Sheffield tried to counter, with some solid challenges. However he did start slowly, but he will be a big player this year.
Swanson-6.5-a few neat touches, and he linked up well with Haynes at times, he has excellent set piece delivery and is defo the flair player in the team. Looks a good signing.
O'brian-7-our best stuff today seemed to go through him, some excellent touches and passing, looks dangerous from free kicks and I think he can take the goal. Gave his all for the team today and works his socks off. Another good signing.
Mcquoid-5- he didn't really add much today, he worked hard and showed a few neat touches, but was beaten in the air by a smaller defender a fair few times, he did make a couple good runs but hasn't impressed me In the 2 games I have watched so far, but I will give him a couple more games before calling him shit.
Tudgay-6.5- held up the ball really well, linked the midfield and the attack and is just the type of player we needed to replace Clarke last year. He has excellent control and linked well with Clarke at times. If we can find him the right partner he could be an excellent player for us this year. Also worked his socks off which is always good to see.
Daniels-6- didn't seem to do much but he closed down well and helped to see the game out well.
Thomas-6-same as Daniels
Miller-6.5- stretched the game and made a nuisance of himself, I like the look of him and he did an excellent job or pressing Sheffield towards the end of the game, I like the look of him also.
Solid today, we look much more comfortable defending and if we can just find a striker with pace and who can finish, then we will be a real outfit, we may need to splash the cash but it will be worth it. Good performance today bring on Tuesday.
