I mean, he's had a couple of good seasons at Blackburn and then whilst not doing anything in Spain, hit 6 goals in 14 games for Sheff Utd in the second half of last season in the EPL. Almost 1 in 2 in the Premier League in more than 10 games (for a crap side) is good going.

He's not a bad player.

Nobody said hes a bad player, but hes not as amazing as people make out.

Agreed. He's had 1 good season in his career, one decent season. Overrated.

He had one very good season but in the last few years has been a bit of a flop. Villarreal and Southampton very poor really. My opinion is influenced by watching him seem to play like a total clown against us on nearly every occasion though, so hopefully it will still be the case after tomorrow!

Not relevant, but the whole thing about him being unable to bother learning Spanish properly despite playing for Chile is embarrasing as well. Hope Bobby Thomas kicks the shit out of him.

I’m feeling more confident the closer we get to Friday, feel like they have been riding their luck similarly to Sunderland before they played us.

Brereton (Diaz used loosely as he can't even speak Spanish) isn't very good at all. Any standard championship defender can handle him.

He's definitely one to add to the Haters thread. Saying that, he's nailed on to score now you've said that.

The 'Diaz' definitely boosted his profile. Ben Brereton barely got a mention, Ben Brereton Diaz on the other hand...
Great PR for the guy, proper bell though so he's at the right club.

Quite like Wilder, had some very complimentary things to say about us in his press conference as well.

Managers who think they are going to win often do. No point winding up the opposition. See Notts County when we played them at their place in the playoff semi.

what do we realistically need in terms of point from SU and Burnley?

We have already exceeded the 2 points I thought we would get from Sunderland Sheffield and Burnley so all good. I think there is another point from the next 2 and really 4 from 9 would be a decent return

At least two?
Three would even be better but doesn't involve the loss so two draws for me quite adequate.

He is just trying to distract Lampard from the matter at hand.

It’s all games mate, he’s a proper bitter wanker that slags us off at every opportunity. Be funny to see his face if we win

I know, he's never struck me anything other than an extremely bitter individual every time we've played them. Bad winner, bad loser. This was a side I've not seen. I guess everybody loves Lampard.

He's usually quite fair TBF, called Gyokeres the best striker in the division when he was at Boro

I do remember that, I assumed he was trying to butter him up.
I also remember Boro fans thinking one season wonder Akpom was better than Gyok, an opinion that truly aged like milk.

Had us down for 2 draws at best out of those 3, can see us getting a draw tomorrow and the same v Burnley, 5 points from those 3 games would be some statement, reckon 12 points from the next 8 games and that’ll do

I’ve just had a chat with a blunt from work, he says we think they’re our rivals and we are there feeder club . What the fuck do they think they are ?
Shitefield has no history bar than steel, Human league and a tin pot actor. It’s a fucking shithole. The best thing to come out of Shitefield is the M1 . A grubby dirty run down damp sewer pit of a shit hole.

Getting a point here would be massive. Then if we can get a win vs Burnley, I think we would pretty much seal one of the playoff spots.

Just a late thought. They have an issue at right back. A bit like we have often had when MVE is injured. Then they target that area. They have that problem and if we get EMC or even Wright attacking that side we will be a huge problem for them.
