There for the taking but our defence is too dodgy if we try playing on the front foot.

2-2 in an entertaining game.

yeah, it'll be a minor miracle if we manage to stop them scoring.
i just hope we don't try and sit and defend at any point in the game, even if we are ahead. we'll need some goals to get anything out of this one.

3-1 win followed by 0-0 vs Burnley and then probably lose at home to Pompey.

Fully with you here.

We need to attack but not with our defenders. They're not playing that well but they're still on another level to Sunderland.

Their players have been running on reserves and have several out injured. This 2 week break could well be to their advantage. I see them starting strongly with us gradually getting on top. If we can hold on for the first 30 minutes or so I think we will get something from this game.

More about performance than result for me as crazy as that might sound. I want to see us continue the Sunderland form not grind out a fortuitous win

I'll say 2-1 loss

O hare will score

But no need to panic after because we played well ala first game of season last year Vs leicester

Same 11. Hopefully Sheaf or Rudoni back on the bench?

Be very happy with a draw if I’m honest so I’ll go 1-1

I think we'll lose but it will be a much better game than Leeds. On the other hand, I think we can get something from Burnley at home.

We had chances but they were clearly better than us. Would be interesting to see how we are against them now as Lampard has had time to get the players playing how he would prefer.

They are a different type of side to Leeds but have gained more points than Leeds(!) and would be top of it weren't for their points deduction.
They are up there with us in form tables etc, one of the best home records in the league.

Not quite sure why people are saying things like they are there for the taking or they would like to face them over two legs or in a play off game.

This is as tough as it gets and defensively we need to be absolutely on our A game to get anything out of this one.

... and having back the missing players (Wright and EMC). It wasn't the best decision to bring that game forward.

I’d want to avoid them over 2 legs but would fancy us to beat them in the final.

The only side I have seen preferred over the 2 legs is Sunderland. And given the choice in the final Sheffield United is preferred to Burnley.

Just that Haji hitting the woodwork done us, such a shame so requires something slightly better on this occasion at least he should get 90+ mins!

Sunderland was at home though. And they don't have Hamer.

Otherwise very similar. Several players out injured and players knackered although they will have had a 2 week break. But they haven't played as well as their results suggest just like Sunderland.

Either of our excellent chances going in could easily have been a game changer. We will never know but we've had an excellent run since then.

And the crowd ref dynamic to contend with, sure there'll be a couple of contentious moments let's hope we come out on top of those and get the win 2-1to us!

No. Who said that?
He has missed games recently for them due to injury, but has been back for a few weeks now and has been doing 1-1 training during his time off this week.

They are a jammy bunch of shithouses, as its away I'll say a 2-1 defeat but not ruling anything out here.

Not to dismiss them but their home form hasn’t been the best lately with their away form carrying them.

Also seen it on their forums they struggle when teams attack them and go for it.

As such 2-1 Coventry and a very sour press conference from Wilder after.

Weirdly growing more and more confident we will get something.

just hope we go there and give it a crack, zero point sitting back and waiting for inevitable.

also confident we get something from Burnley.

Be nice for Sheaf, Rudy and BTA back on bench. Same starting team as Sunderland - torn on Bidwell / JDS however.
