Dovin did well
Kitching did well
Alien played well

Asante terrible

Wrong subs. Simms should have stayed on.

Dovin/Kitch/Simms come out top of the pile. Has to start forming that spine of the team for me.

Fair play to those sticking their hands up to take a pen, even if they missed. Takes bollox every time no matter what round.

Thought Dovin was excellent again. Although Thomas-Asante struggled to show any end product, he did a job for the team as a whole with his workrate and this helped Simms be more involved and more targeted with his pressing.
Encouraged that Torp managed to keep going for 120 considering question marks over his stamina.

Dovin - 9 stick with him , none of the other two are anywhere near as good as him
MvE - 7 poor going forward but a lot better defensively tonight ,and what stamina he has
Thomas - 7 still gets caught out too easy at times with a simple ball over the top but better tonight
Binks - 8 looked comfortable and composed centrally
Kitching - MOTM 9 terrific game , good goal and some outstanding passing . For me he should be starting every week and should be captain
DaSilva - 7 started slowly but second half he was very effective and worked well down the left hand side
Allen - 9 Wow , the energy levels were incredible. Worked tirelessly , harried and moved the ball quickly and progressively
Torp - 7 a lot better tonight and uses the ball well in tight areas
Rudoni - 7 never stopped running and trying
Simms - 8 look a real threat ,lead the line well . Needs a goal but has to start every game while Wright and EMC are out
BTA - 6 so low on confidence but never stopped trying , so want him to come good

Subs : All a bit meh and probably the wrong players came off

I mean he did at one point... but Robins played him against Derby... and the game before that... and the game before that etc.

Either way, why do they feel the need to make sh!t like this up on every thread...

I thought BTA had a decent game, apart from his finishing.

Unfortunately that needs to be the most important part of his game and what we need the most from him.

Dovin is so, so much better than Collins and Wilson in every area. The calmnest is so helpful when calming the game down.

Actually thought Raphael did well defensively. Didn't really get chance to run at players but won the ball back a couple of times and a couple of headers

Mmmm..but
I thought Rudoni was at fault for the Weds goal, standing wrong side of scorer.
Thomas was caught several times after making dodgy forward passes then trying to retrieve the ball rather then falling back into his defensive position, one incident around the 40m mark was pretty bad.
BTA too often trying and failing to hold on to the ball rather than making a pass

Didn't set the world alight but neither was he a liability in the slightest, encouraging debut (sort of, the 30 secs the other day hardly counts ).

He was dropped earlier in the season for Wilson by Robins. I think a keeper who could communicate more was the reason why. Then Wilson got injured so Dovin back in goal then Dovin injured for one game Collins in goal. So Robins dropped tactically.

I have to admit even though I don't like Dasilva he didn't do too bad yesterday, Thomas had good moments but his passing was absolutely dreadful, Simms held the ball up reasonably well but Asante was dreadful, he can't even get the ball under control, Allen was decent, Rudoni put a decent shift in, Bassette ran about a bit and scored the pen...What was our bottle jobs doing letting Bidwell take the penalty?? but we won and are in the hat for a few more quid

But he is very young for a keeper and just moved to a new country. You have to give him time and integrate him. He looked ok but not rock solid in his early games, especially on crosses.

One thing Robins did well was nurture players. Fans sometimes forget players are people. Some fans just expect that every new signing will hit the ground running or they are rubbish. They seem to think they are just a spreadsheet of stats, rather than a player and a person.
