I’d Rather beat these with Hamer and O’Hare playing, that’ll be more satisfying!!

You can't help but feel in the back of your head that with the receptions he's got since he left Callum is due a goal against us

I am very nervous about this game

Was really confident against Boro and quietly confident when we played WBA, but this one worries me and it's mainly based on it possibly turning into a slugfest and it either ending in injuries, or a sending off, or both.

I really think they will try and wind our players up and be overly aggressive too. I can see retaliation possibly being our downfall.

Hope I'm wrong, but even if we get out of there with a point, I can see it also coming with casualties.

0-0 or a 2 nil defeat.

1-2 Cov win, but conceding to the inevitable Hamer assist and/or O'Hare goal.

Fancy Middlesbrough and Ipswich to have both dropped points as well by the time we play

And as poor as Leicester are, they'll still probably grind out enough points to avoid the drop annoyingly

If they take points off our competitors then if they stay up so be it...

They were a damned sight better side even under Cifuentes than what I saw us play at the weekend, W.B.A. look doomed

Can see a different cb pairing after the game as Bobby and Lati aren’t taking any shit from them and I reckon one of them may get sent off

If they can turn over Boro and Ipswich along the way I'll take it!
Even if they stay up they've got severe problems, so plenty more pain to come for them

Think I would rather Phillips be playing myself, he has looked way off the pace as a footballer the last few years - Can honestly see him retiring when his Man City contract is done cause his downfall has been crazy and it just seems he is not going to get back on track

Must admit, it is weird watching him and Bamford turn out for a Wilder side, when Leeds and Sheff U were going hammer and tongs for promotion a few years ago there was some serious needle between the two, pretty sure Wilder referred to Bamford as 'some muppet from Leeds' - Even last season Bamford was videoing singing Mind the Gap Chrissy Wilder at Leeds' promotion bash

Just been reading through some Blade's opinions on Phillips. Seems, on the whole, they aren't overly impressed by the signing.

His sending off means they are a bit light in midfield, following on from Rathbone's red.

I'm hopeful Grimes and Onyeka can dominate that area of the pitch now and get us a good grip of proceedings.

I watched the Sheff.utd game and tbh they did not impress me. Wed were hopeless and Utd failed to capitalise on first half goal chances. Second half Utd were well off it. Not sure their recent upturn is representative of them being any good consistently.
We should press their defenders and Frank the tank stop Hamer on the ball. Bamford is a good striker with excellent movement but physicality and speed is not his strong suit. If we are strong in midfield we win the game.
They will feel it in the legs and we should be much fresher. But we are leaders and everyone wants our scalp. Difficult to call but I think we have better players in most areas and if we play to our strengths should be good.

It was a weird signing on the surface, he has barely played football for yonks so it would undoubtedly take him a good while to get up to any kind of speed.

Midfield is key in this game, hopefully Onyeka keeps Hamer Quiet.
Going to be a physical game hopefully Wright can win his battles too

He's always getting sent off when he went on loan to West Ham on his debut ,he gave a goal away and received a red card later on.

Not sure whether Onyeka v Hamer will actually be a thing. Hamer is predominately playing LW for them. It's more likely to be Tats/Milan vs Hamer. I'm confident the combo of them two, can keep tabs on him. He's not beating them for pace anyway.

If we get out of this with 3pts and no injuries will be another big statement. This is a horrible game but if we can control the midfield and stay compact i can see us nicking it late on.

My worry is more about getting out of this with no red cards or injuries than them as a side.

It’s not about Pace with Hamer, it’s his vision and passing and the old worldie free kick

Think Onyeka will nullify Hamers strengths. Press him and not allow him any space

Tats took a booking on Saturday when Frank clattered their LB. Hamer isnt safe on the LW. If Frank wants you, he'll get you

I said at the time on here that if we beat Boro I will be Mr Positive for the rest of the season. If we beat Sheff Utd and other results go our way, then I will (for the first time) really believe we are going up.

We could easily go there and win comfortably but I think Sheff Utd win this 1-0. Bamford.

Here would be a lovely midweek though, imagine...

Boro 1-1 Leicester
Watford 3-1 Ipswich
Millwall 0-0 Brum
Hull 0 - 1 Derby
Sheff Utd 0 - 2 Cov

It is asking a lot after so many results going our way at the weekend, but this is the championship. There are so many teams on similar level, going for top 6 and they all need to play each other.

I actually agree with leaving out Saka for Esse.
He has been brutalised in so many matches. Refs offer him no protection & he won't get any at Bramall Lane. Pound for pound he is as hard as any one of our team. He won't back away from anything.

He needs protecting tomorrow.
Give him the last 25 mins if necessary.
Then let him weave around Stoke.
