You'd better go and tell Mikel Arteta and his management team quickly then. I bet they wish they had your insight into their squad that they work with every day.

I merely agreed with another posters viewpoint… don’t see you sarcastically mocking him. Twat!

However… noted. Hope your future posts are squeaky clean

You really have no sense of humour.

Sorry for upsetting you, and BSB if need be, although somehow I don't think he will have taken it like you.

It will make Earlsdon and myself pleased if this goes to fruition !
Not because he's going or that he's particularly inspiring to me , I just feel he's got a soft centre to his game , but we'll see!!

I've seen a few numbers but €20m is quite common (about £17m), also £16.2m has cropped up so we are somewhere in that ballpark. I'm not at all ITK btw so others may know more than me but it seems reasonable for a player that can start in the prem and can provide goals and assists.

Unnecessary sarcasm and humour are not the same

Also you never addressed it to him the OP, only me who agreed with him

Treat people with kindness as Boosh says (but never follows)

I'm sure Doug won't let Sheaf leave unless a replacement has been brought in first.

And Sheaf definitely won't leave unless it means the squad is improved in a number of areas, maybe a new CM, CH, and LWB.

In any case, Sheaf is on a long term contract, so he's going nowhere unless it suits us.

It's not long term it's 2 years

Man United 'profiled' midfielder Ben Sheaf this summer as Reds look to strengthen squad - Old Trafford Faithful

Man United could yet make an astute move to sign Coventry City midfielder, Ben Sheaf. Manchester United Football Club are now turning their attention to signing a new midfielder. Erik ten Hag may yet lose [...]

In reality, this means little other than raising his profile a touch.

Is Sheaf injured, or is he “injured”?

4 in 36 in a really poor team. At least one was quite eye catching? Not bad in his position.

I'd suggest the first couple games of the season are the least important.

We have consistently proven that the first 5-6 matches are not the most important in the season. Our issue is that we took 2-3 months to get going last season and the one before ….

Let’s say 3 weeks. He misses Stoke, Oxford and Bristol City. Easily good enough to win those games without Sheaf. That’s if it’s even true anyway

This site really is funny

every season people say we need a good start. slow start has done us

All of sudden it’s not important

look at the games. we have a nice run of winnable games to start with

From what I can tell, he has never played more than 35 league games in a season, so is it any surprise?

If we can't cope without 1 player for these games then we might as well give up.

Actually a great opportunity to get Torp/Allen game time, Sheaf will be automatic starter once fit.

Regarding Sheaf. I think everyone is bigging him up just a tad too much. A player who has improved a lot, good tracking back and defensively. Not a goal scorer, not particularly a visionary pass maker. He holds down midfield well but has always made a mispass and is a little slow. Good player but not exceptional. If we sell for a good few million it would be good business.
I do believe Torp will work along side Rudoni in an exciting midfield and have goals in them and visionary passes. Eccles under those circumstances could easily be the Sheaf role of tracking back and defensive minded. It's a team game and the cogs have to fit.
We will be playing an attacking game and one which may also suit Palmer's role.

Exactly the reason we can live without Sheaf for 3 games
