The club has recieved a few bids for him apparently, he is keen to move according to my mate who lives in Leamington. 2 million is the number the club are holding out for. Gutted

Thought this was a joke until you said your mate is from Leamington. Shit, must be legit.

Might not be an essential sale, but if we are looking to bring other options in, could be a balance sheet move. It depends who we bring in as to whether selling Sheaf would be seen as a good move.

If a player is unsettled he should definitely be moved on.

Nobody should take any of Greggs post too seriously, but this does raise a point that should be taken seriously as I think a lot of people underestimate Sheaf.

We all talk about Gyokeres, Hamer and O'Hare, but don't see how attractive a proposition Sheaf may be to other clubs

Whether we underestimate his presence in our team or not, just like Hyam, Sheaf plays in a position where finding a replacement is pretty easy. That’s not to say there’s a ready made replacements out there or taking anything away from what Sheaf brings to the team. Just that defensive midfields are easily replaceable as are CB.
It’s your O’Hare’s and Gyos of this world that are difficult positions and players to find a like for like replacement.
Don’t want him gone but if someone pitches up with a ridiculous offer (5m plus )for Sheaf then we should snap there hands off.

I don’t know, previous season he was arguably one of the best in his position if you are to look at ball recovery, interceptions and defensive statistics.

I think replacing him would be harder than we think. Our whole system works because himself and Hamer are so comfortable receiving the ball wherever they are on the field, throw in his defensive capabilities and you’ve got yourself a hidden gem.

I’m not sure if it’s a bias I’ve built for Sheaf but part of me would be more gutted to lose him than say Callum or Vik

Also, I’ve a lot of respect for a player who seemed to be everyone’s target for a season or two. You’d forgive Sheaf if he went into his shell but every game he continues to want the ball and he keeps us ticking - got to value a mentality like that

Not everyone was targeting him a few years ago and yes he would not be easy to replace at all. Just because the position he plays is not spectacular it makes it no easier than replacing a striker or attacking midfielder.

He's not perfect, and the lack of pace will probably keep him at this level, but there are not many better holding midfielders in this division and losing him would be a real problem.

£2m would be a killer. Similar to Hyam. It may be his market value at this level, but is worth more to our team.

We should be looking to build a team around Sheaf and Hamer next season and let Vik go.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if clubs are sniffing around him, but I’d be gutted if we sold him for anything less than 15mil. Our best player and the hardest to replace imo

Id be hesitant to sell the player as he is one id definitely get on an improved deal. But if the lad wants out and we get anything over 2.5 mill im sure he will be allowed to move on.

Has benn a very good signing whichever way we look at it.

He's the heart beat of the team, keeps us ticking over time and time again.
I've likened him to Michael Carrick in the past, and lacking pace didn't do him any harm.

I think that he's essential to the way Robins wants us to play and he would be a massive loss. That's without factoring in that he smiles in training.

If we sold him for £2.5m it’d be a joke - he’ll be worth double figures in a few years.

It was a genuine enquiry, Bobby Bullshit.

I’m jealous because I can’t bullshit like you can? I’d rather be respected, as opposed to being a figure of mere toleration. Which you are.
