It was inevitable,the Club thought last summer they were making a killing on him,higher profile with big matches,i l don't blame the lad at all but I'm very suspicious of his availability over the last 18, month's,as it is we've covered and gained a bit on his whole time with us!Sheaf leaves with my thanks and appreciation for his part in moving the club forward to a place I thought unimaginable 10 years ago, and he deserves to be held in high esteem by our support because of that.
I don't think he downed tools. I think it was a combo of badly times injuries vs Lampards ethos and the appearance of Grimes. McFadzean was captain in the playoff finalI dont, it is more a figure of speech. I.E If Dabo hadn't of missed Sheaf could have gone down as our promotion winning captain.
