Saw an interesting article today about Sevilla selling tiny squares of the shirt number:
'Sevilla are offering their supporters the chance to get their ugly mugs on their hero’s shirt. The La Liga side have lauched a scheme allowing fans to buy a 2mm x 2mm square within a shirt number of a player of their choice.'
'The tiny photo will then appear alongside thousands of other photos to constitute the number. Each square costs €24.90 and each number contains around 3,000 squares, meaning each digit could potentially generate €75,000 for Sevilla.'
I think it's a pretty good idea for next season, the question is whether people would spend the money?

Now if Brody had the imagination to have come up with something like this, we may not have been quite so mocking. A little bit, but not as much. It is at least a creative stab at marketing and raising funds.
All the same, the fans have paid their way once this season already (certainly the ST's have). Asking them to delve into their pockets again, at a time when most people can't even afford to buy Christmas presents for loved ones, would be a bit of a kick in the teeth; not unlike the idea of fans raising a transfer kitty.
