Pressley says the team have had a number of set backs since Xmas....

Wilson gets injured
Clarke requests transfer
Clarke refuses to play
Clarke signs for Wolves
Jon Stead (amongst others) turns us down
Sign Delfouneso
Delfouneso gets injured
Sign Donnelly
Donnelly asks to leave after one day
SISU don't seem to reinvest the Clarke money into the squad.
Slager asks to leave.
Pressley has to use the loan market, despite publicly saying he doesn't really like having loan players.
Pressley has to sign young players despite repeatedly saying he wants experience.
Two matches are called off in a row.

It does seem like bad news after more bad news doesn't it?! I think the rest of the season may well drive Pressley away. I know he seems quite thick skinned, but this will test him. The alternative is the football community will start to attribute our on field success during the first half of the season to the Wilson-Clarke partnership and not Pressley afterall??

I think Pressley is the best manager we have had in my lifetime. Unfortunately he is metaphorically, being asked to dig foundations with a tea spoon...

It won't be long until fans start turning on Pressley.

I do hope not, although I do hope that his stock drops a little with the wider community, so he can have a full season here next year (hopefully!) without a points deduction...

Good points KersleyDigs. Pressley will fail as long as we play away from our City. He's doomed.
Which is a great shame. A bright young manager, weighed down by a bunch of no marks.
Sisu, Fisher, you were told last summer the fans wouldn't turn up in Northampton. You too are doomed.
Sixfielders, enough is enough. You are supporting a rotten regime. They represent everything that is bad about football.

If sixfield attendance were between 100-250 I think we would already be back at the ricoh.

Also fans will never turn on SP. He is the right man for the right team but wrong owners and wrong people.

It's been said before but you can't play football the city way on a potato patch. Returning to the Ricoh would let us stretch teams and turn the big mud pluggers we play against. Plus the extra 10k on the attendance would help the owners, it's simple logic really but it's ungraspable by the morons who own our club. NOPM

Unbelievable negativity, can quite understand why Presskey's working so hard to get rid of all signs of it from our Club. PUSB!

I think what Vick is trying to state instead of the state of the surface, the Ricoh has a wider playing surface so it means we can stretch teams with the passing more.

The Ricoh pitch was in pretty poor condition around this time last season with all the additional cup games plus the Olympics pre season.

Didn't Pressley/thorn bring the pitch narrower last season? Just a quick google search and Sixfields is about the same size as villas.

The minute the results go bad the pack will be after him, that is the way it works.

I think the physical differences between a team with a number of players under 21 and a team mostly composed of players in the 23-30 age range will tell more if conditions are heavy.

I am not quite sure on the second part Stupot so I would have to take your word for it.

Yes agreed it was, but we weren't playing in a similar style last season as we are this season.

We are like a poorly maintained sports car.
Initially got the performance but over time becomes less reliable.

My personal opinion is that would not make a difference. They are losing big money being there as it is, what difference would an extra 10-15% loss make?
