I saw this posted on the Historic Coventry Forum

"The good news today is that it seems that Preston Haskell is still very much interested in saving CCFC and that Joy Sepalla is getting increasingly annoyed at the adverse media attention she and SISU are getting - hopefully it will persuade her to do the decent thing and sell the club to someone that actually gives a hoot. Reports in the Coventry Telegraph about moving a 'franchise' in are well wide of the mark but I doubt anyone believes anything written in that 'paper' anyway!"

The Joy Seppala comment was what caught my eye. I think it has been said before, but she is the person to concentrate on and to where all publicity for the trouble she and her hedge fund have brought to our great club. She really does hate being dragged into the limelight.

Why would anybody know if she's annoyed or not?

It reads to me that she is more annoyed than she was previously, so she's always been annoyed but more so now. Maybe she has told someone! It is well known that she does not like the limelight.

If she doesn't like the limelight, why would she tell someone to publicise it in a negative light?

SISU's silence since the Judicial Review decision went against them, together with Haskell and Byng both still being on the scene makes me wonder if there aren't discussions going on behind the scenes. May not amount to anything, but SISU are progressively being boxed into a corner with fewer options. I do not believe they want to build a stadium that will cost them £30-40M. So what are they to do ?

Plough on with the stadium project ? Don't think they really want to do that. Think it was just there to put pressure on ACL

Just stay at Northampton ? Can't do that for long without any indication of a new stadium on the horizon if they want to retain any support at all. Would increase the support a new club would get.

Go back to the Ricoh and ask for a reasonable deal to return ? Can't see it, too much bad blood, too many egos.

Realise that the game is up, they've nowhere to go, time to sell up for a reasonable price and move on.

I wonder if the last option is what is now being seriously discussed ? We can but hope that we are approaching the end of this dreadful saga.

I've thought the same. I can't see a way forward for sisu any more. Time to cut their losses

Fisher has said on more than one occasion (particularly around the time it all kicked off in the Ricoh with the banners - notice fire certificates weren't needed today!) that SISU and Joy didn't like adverse publicity and if the protests continued they would walk away. Obviously he doesn't speak the truth often but it can't be good for any business to have all this publicity about how badly they are performing.

anyone who issues the veiled threat
'you might not be happy with how they walk away'
has nailed their colours firmly to the mast,
the one to be hoist by their own petard, that is

Christ, another moron who wilfully reads into things what they want, while speaking in verse.

Eh? Think it's just another way of saying "Be careful what you wish for"
