Football:
Claus Jorgensen feels for Sky Blues fans

THE player who scored the first ever goal at the Ricoh Arena believes the fans are suffering from what he describes as a big game of poker.
Claus Jorgensen cemented his name in the club's history books by scoring the first of three goals against Queens Park Rangers back in August 2005.
Back then the Sky Blues were a competitive force in the Championship, but fast forward eight years later and a lot has changed – for the worse.
The club finds itself back in the third tier of English football, in administration and now with no stadium to fulfil matches ahead of the 2013/14 campaign.
And Jorgensen, who made over 50 appearances for the club, feels sympathy towards supporters who still do not know where their club will be playing home matches next season.
“I really do feel for the fans. It's such a shame to see what is going on at the club.
“When you stop playing football you begin to understand a feel the emotion from supporters because you get closer to them in the stands rather than being on the pitch.
Asked where the club should be playing next season, the former Faroe Islands international said: “I can't see any other logic in moving away from the Ricoh.
“Where is the logic of the current owners Sisu building a new stadium?
“It has all got a bit too murky for my liking and the fans are the ones that are suffering.
“To me the whole thing has been like a big game of poker – you can't really tell.
“We are all wanting to see what happens over the next few days and weeks because you've got no chance of judging what can happen.”
Jorgensen likens the current plight of the Sky Blues to his experiences at Bradford City when all the players were made redundant.
But he said the current crop of players would not be affected by all the off-field worries.
“At Bradford we came into pre-season and all the players were questioning whether or not we should play in any friendlies because of player insurance and things like that.
“We were little peasants in a big game and all we could think about was this huge mechanism above our heads.
“But I don't think the Coventry players will be affected. The season finished at the end of April so they are all enjoying a break and their minds will be elsewhere, away from football.
“I don't think it will have an affect on pre-season preparations as far as the players are concerned but the manager, Steven Pressley, might be affected because what can he do while there is still a transfer embargo hanging over the club?”
Looking ahead to next season, Jorgensen has come to terms with his former club being in League One.
He added: “Lots of teams get relegated and promoted, Coventry are just another one of those.
“Look at the likes of Sheffield Wednesday and now Sheffield United, they have been here too.
“I actually think we did better than I thought last season. Now I hope we can consolidate and continue to show plenty more positive signs
