There seems to be some confusion about NOPM.

When sisu took over we played in the Championship,we had a team which with the addition of two or
three new signings would now be in the premiership.

Instead sisu sold each and every player they could get money for,and instead of promotion we got relegated.we also got administration and became a laughing stock in the Football World.

Look at our squad now--can you find a player who we paid a transfer fee for,or are they all freebies that nobody else wanted. The manager was denied the opportunity to sign any new players due to the third successive transfer embargo, caused by sisu refusing to obey the law and file it;s accounts on time.

I have been a supporter since 1946 and I,am still pleased when the team manage to win.BUT I like the vast majority of fans will abide by the NOPM until sisu are history.

Some are claiming the NOPM will not work but if that is the case why are sisu resorting to giving free tickets, offering free hospitality, and giving price reductions on sky blue player if NOPM is having no effect.

Stay strong fellow NOPM fans.

Not sure some fans are that bothered to be truthful. Let's be honest if you are in work and have a car and particularly if you live on the south side of Coventry then getting to Sixfields is no real great hardship.30 minutes down the M45/M1,with reduced admission costs to offset the extra travel costs, is not exactly a great sacrifice. The fans going are hardly on a heroic mission to save the club. The fans making the true sacrifice are the fans who could go but won't on principle.
Obviously there are a lot of fans, the elderly, fans with children and fans with no transport and or on low incomes, who getting to Sixfield is a real problem. I doubt if the travelling fans hardly give it a moments thought about these fans, and will probably be happily sitting at Sixfields in 4/5/6 years time, if needs be.

So when SISU took over we needed 2 or 3 players to get promoted? Well we signed Fox and Dann very early on and then we signed Eastwood, Westwood et al before season one. Why were we not in the Premiership then?

Why do people feel the need to keep repeating the reasons why they are not going? Nobody gives a fuck.

going or not, I'm sick of the same thread going up about how you're going to support the lads or not going because it funds sisu.

There is about 5 threads a day and I imagine everyone on here is past caring if people are going or not

But you can't talk about something that has not yet happened surely? As far as I am aware this Sunday's game is in the future.

They will have got publicity for sure, but I bet they hardly made a penny. And as has been said ad nauseum, that event was not a pro ACL event it was a statement for the owners to bring the club home.

It's a free country and anyone who wants to go has that right.. But plllleeeeeaaase, I ain't buying this "I'm going to support the team" rubbish! Or "sisu can fund it so we may as well just go again" ( which is what Tim fisher said would happen )

1. The team have being doing alright so far without your support , we've been banging in goals for fun... And with barely no home support at Northampton . So be honest and say that you can't be without the footy on a Saturday , you've seen the goals being banged in & you want some of it

2. If that stadium was empty week in week out, sisu would be gone before the end of the season! The numbers just don't stack up, whichever way you play it. If they fund losses for the next 4 seasons and put 30 million into a new stadium, they would the need to sell us for 100 million just to break even .. even if we are back in The championship by then AND have a new stadium, we still won't be worth anywhere near that!!

Go if you want.. I honestly hold no bad feeling towards people i know that are considering it, but it does annoy me when they try to make out that its for some cause or greater good. when i hear that, you just come across as weak in your decision, be honest , and don't dress it up as anything other than you want to go for your own entertainment on a Saturday. end of story

Been a season ticket holder with my sons for 10 years...but due to the fact I've been away overseas, this is the first game of the season I can make... regardless of goals scored.

I hadn't joined the NOPM campaign so I haven't caved in as I hadn't been able to go to previous games since I've been away overseas for the past month.

If you are so thick as to miss the point of the hill

Then that says it all about those who go into sixfeilds

If others want to go in that ok by me just clarify any 'misunderstandings' of my veiw

Most of the people that've now said they're going wouldn't be going anywhere near the place if we hadn't have won the last two games. Football fans are generally fickle, we have more than most (i.e Crewe JPT final last season).

Good lord some of our so called fans are weak-minded. Would people still be considering going to Northampton who initially were not planning to go had we lost all 3 games this season?

I am glad I am hopefully never going to be on the front-line with some of you...

All it takes is for No city fan to pay to go to Northampton, lack of SISU funds, press coverage etc, but no, 1000 jump ship at the first and a thousand or so more look like joining them after a couple of wins.

I always thought we were a fickle bunch - but managed to persuade myself that this was down to never having had a top six finish in my lifetime - 30+ years.. Maybe I am not so sure now...

The more I read this sort of guff the more tempted I am to buy a sodding ST.

I think I may head off to GMK for a bit of sanity, and that is the first time that has been said by anyone, ever.

I give up with you lot! Go to Northampton if you so wish BUT don't say you are going there to support Coventry City FC because YOU ARE NOT. You are going there to support a franchise club!!!!! The more that go to support this move, the less likely that they will ever return to Coventry.

Got sore eyes reading all the posts.i have no beef with the guys who go to Shitfields.it hurts me not to see my team in Cov.I am not going to the game on Sunday despite a really good friend and PNE fan coming down with his mates to the game.they will get hospitality in nuneaton ,and I may go to the Hill.
What annoys me is the abuse some of you guys give to fellow city fans for going or not going. On GMK they call most of the posters on this site " mongs". I have challenged a few to say it to people's faces , and see what the reaction is .It is easy to hide behind a keyboard.they believe this site is full of SIZU haters and they are "real fans " for going to Shitfields.what he hell is real fan?
Someone like me who has supported the team and been a fan of CCFC for 50 years or a young guy/ girl like my daughter who lives 80 miles away and can only go to 5/6 games in Cov and away games near to her home.10 games or 40 we all love city and I am sure we want hem back in Cov.this should be he real focus.both forums take note

What, the ST or GMK? Which is worse?

I doubt I'd be missed though.

Just all this 'weak-minded', 'glad I'm not on the front line with you' stuff is starting to grate. Wish we could just move on from it.

In that case aren't people going to Shrewsbury supporting a franchise club? Or are they only a franchise club every other week? This is why I think those that only attend away games are hypocrites
