Speaking with some Shrewsbury fans after the game we now have some secret admirers - -They were wondering what has happened to Coventry City and i thought hear we go again going to have to explain all this crap again but then they said they were not interested in the politics but more the team and the fans- they said before the game they were expecting 3 points mainly because they thrashed us last year at home and won at the Ricoh -Cov fan turn out last year although a midweek game was described as 'ordinary' the team was described as from okay to poor - warming up they said they were even more confident as they thought they were playing our youth team and some were even making jokes of it it then in there down words were brought down to earth particularly as they thought there team was promotion contenders this year
Half time cuppa tea was the quietest ever in the shrews concourse area as everyone was thinking the same? then somebody broke the ice comments 'Cov support was described as 'deafening at times' 'brilliant' 'credit to the club and shame on the club owners' the team described as frightening pace , opening us at will, where did they get all those young players from, we should be 4-0 down its embarrassing,

Shrewsbury fans thought there team were promotion contenders? That's a joke in it self

It really says something when Shrewsbury expected to beat us before the game

Nice comments from quite I few of their suporters on other sites as well.

I pray we hold on to these youngsters, they are our future, a very bright future, and we can start to mould this team into promotion favourites next season in my opinion

If only the football was the most important matter at this moment in time. How can the club continue with crowds of 1500-2000. No future guys for CCfc outside of Coventry

This team, starting on 0 points, with a coventry crowd behind them, with an extra years experience, would be a force to be reckoned with.

Whatever the ifs buts and maybes, keep this squad together and get back to the Ricoh and you'll see fans flock back whoever the owners are (as much as I hate to say that). Really feel for Pressley who has made a silk purse from a sows ear and won't reap the full benefits.

I live near and work in Shrewsbury and most fans predictions this season is a relegation battle. Anyone talking promotion was on day release from Shelton.
