Where has peoples opinion that the council won't sell come from? All they have said is they won't sell to sisu?

Some councillors have indicated they would not want to part with the assett to any owners of a football club.

So, you know nothing about either of the bids, apart from one consortium consulted PF for informal advice, and you have already withdrawn your support?

Yet, you continue to feel optimistic about a bid which is being put together by someone who has been around in the past, and who brought sisu into the club?

Bizarre.

I think I pretty much said none of that apart from the word "optimistic"! The rest is implied by you, and you then choose to find your own conclusions "bizzare".

That's a bit twattish IMO. Standard fare from you though, really.

You said that you were out due to PF's involvement, and that your were cautious but optimistic about Elliot's bid. I don't see much difference, do you?

We must put pressure on the Administator to make the right decision.

Mr Fisher must be aware of the options so he they can leave and somehow same some face (not that we care).

think someone (Mutton?) was interviewed a couple of months back and said they weren't interested in selling to anyone.

It was on the breakfast show, hosted by Shane (O'Connor?). Interview was just after 9:30, so in the last half-hour of the show.

Ahh ryt. Surely if we own it, we still pay business rates to the council, so it's not like they don't get any money?

Yes, absolutely I do, as I said above. Add in the rhetoric that I've since read about faceless investors and banking on a return to the top flight and it all sounds very familiar. I said I'm cautious about Haskell-who isn't? But I'm more cautious about this lot purely from the mention of Fletcher. He doesn't support CCFC like Elliott does for one thing, Elliott's main saving grace.

If a major corporation came in offering to invest in the Citys infrastructure and create new jobs in Cov but ownership of the Ricoh was required in exchange the council would sell it in a heartbeat, or at the very least come to some sort of long term lease agreement.

Not getting too excited but this does sound more promising that the Hoff/Elliot bid based on what we have heard so far.

Yet in another post you said sisu were the only game in town because it was created that way. Remind me whose ticking clock was it - I forget? Elliot or fletcher?

My god whats happening, now we have at least 3 prospective buyers, is there gold under the Ricoh or is something going on only a few people know about, because from where I'm sitting we have a club name, a few players under contract, no income, at least a 60m debt & no ground, who can put a value on that.

Regarding the point scoring posts of hypocrisy it is Possible to respect Fletcher for being .First ,a football man who left us and promptly got Burnley Promoted .Secondly a Stadium Developer .Third a former CEO who identified the need for unity of Club and /Stadium and was frustrated in his first bid at this through Manhattan group.Fourth and finally was misguided from my point of view in promoting the Idea in this war ACL/Council have had with SISU that It has cost the Club £70M...............It is entirely plausible to now argue that point
to unite the Club and stadium without the Rediculous notion that SISU should be significantly rewarded at their Exit point for the Utter Strangulation and failure of our football club, there is absolutely no benefit for the Club if it pans out SISU's way.
