Enlighten me then, when was those reports of his agent flogging him to Sporting every other day ? I’m sure if anybody knows it will be you, you spend day and night on here.

How the heck can they justify selling a home shirt at that price. Absolute rip-off. I begrudge paying £50 odd, let alone £110.

Villa fan at work told me theirs are £120 said he would have brought it but doesnt like the way the sponsorship looks on it.

They can already tell all concession tickets show a red light above the turnstile as you enter normal ones are Green.

That's when you're already in though and harder to challenge. Especially for the poor stewards who are the nice ones in there not the orange coat rent a thug.

£115 for the “ pro” and £70 the basic apparently. £55 the kids shirt. Bad isn’t it.

Terrible, my lot all have the shirts nothing more than rag quality wise but the younger two wear them all the time and all year round out playing etc so get good use out of the shirt I suppose for 50odd quid.

I've got a proper player version of an old Scotland shirt that's great for playing in because compared to replicas it's so thin and light, but I got it for about £15 so I don't understand/envy the disposable income of anyone paying over £100 for one.

The Sky Blues have now passed 14,000 Season Ticket sales, including Premier League Packages, having broken the all-time record number of Season Tickets sold last week when the figure flew past 13,603.

Are we still expecting another couple of thousand once the reserved seats get released? Incredible total so far.

Sorted mine this morning. Interest free credit card rather than the V12 thing, cheers to whoever suggested that earlier in the thread

I think the season ticket sales , whilst not being large in comparison to some clubs , still show a club on the up .. slowly but surely , football wise .

We haven't renewed yet as a few seats around us have gone but needed a few more so might just have to move.

I think we'll sell another 1-2000 by the end next week as I imagine they'll be quite a few who are waiting for all stands to be made available before moving. We're still waiting until the 3rd to renew ours

Record ticket sales despite price increases everywhere in the ground and a windfall from Gyokeres, surely a big summer transfer window on the way

Payday coming up which might provide a bit of a boost. There’s probably a few been putting it off with it being holiday season as well.

Unlikely as those increases have in part been put in place to mitigate the likely horrendous commercial agreement that is in place with FG as well as to ensure operating costs are covered as much as possible.

The budget is likely to increase but not by much.

We should certainly expect a substantial increase in the playing budget

£2.5m from play offs (one off)
£1.5m Season ticket additional Revenue (ongoing)
Probably £14m from Gyokeres (one off after Brighton payment)
Probably £1.5m for getting rid of the dead wood (ongoing)

so over 3 years that is an additional £26m . Assuming Doug needs £10m to fund the losses leaves £16m to spend and he should make that £19m with his additional commercial activity and the TV deal from next year will generate an additional £4m in that time (£2m per year)

we can afford
Hamer increase £2m over 3 years
New Striker with Wages £8m over 3 years
5 New £1m players on 3 year deals £12.5m
and replacing the loans on like for like cost

Doug keeps telling us that the price increases are so we can put out a better quality of player on the pitch, he doesn't want to be finishing 17th and lower every season in the championship

I doubt he wants to be shouldering millions worth of losses per season either. Fundamentally his initial priority will be ensuring that the club can more or less operate self-sufficiently through maximising commercial, sponsorship and ticketing revenue as well as by facilitating player sales.

He's even alluded to this in a previous comment.

"All I’m asking for everyone, season ticket holders, Premier package, our corporate partners and sponsors is a little bit extra into our club to allow our revenues to move in line with some of our competitors, which will make a huge difference because it makes our operating losses not keep me up at night."

Yeah but there’s a balance that needs to be struck, he’s enticed the fans by saying pay a premium - we’re aiming to be top 6 in 3/5 seasons

ultimately it’s up to him to put the product on the pitch. That’s what we’ve been saying to SISU all these years - why doesn’t it apply to Doug?

Well this is the thing really. Granted he's invested in pitches at the training ground but if he's not willing to make a similar commitment in terms of financial investment as the supporters have been essentially forced to, then what's the point in him being here.

I would think so there will be a lot waiting until the end of the month to renew. If we are on 14000+ and I don’t think the early bird has started yet so I’d think another 4k a possibility.

18K would be phenomenal.

Come along way in the last 5/6 years.

I’d say the last 6 months. Just think where we were this time last year even last January compared to now.

How do people know the details of the agreement with Frasers? I haven't seen anything reported either in the local press or at a supporters group meeting, what have I missed?

They dont. But some will make it what they want to suit their point.

It's the same with Hamer's wage "demands". No one on here really knows he wants £20k and we offered £18k. It's all speculation to suit agenda & arguements.

A little before the license was agreed, I was speaking to a member of the club's commercial department who relayed to me that FG's demands were 'completely unsustainable' for the club moving forward.
