I still won't be buying one until I believe the clubs primary ambition is to succeed (I don't care what the ambition is of the owners, but I expect that with whatever resources are available the club trys to succeed as the number 1 priority and I still don't believe that is the case) I still believe the people in charge of ccfc have the owners as their number 1 priority and that's not right (nore is it allowed), TM & cheaper season tickets are great though. We've got to stop the new stadium nonsense and the legal nonsense, we need the top people at the club to have ccfc succeeding as their target and that means no more fisher and waggot.

I had one last season and was definitely giving it up this time no turning back, which is now a bit like promising your hungover self you'll never drink again.

Only did 4 or 5 home games last year (I live in Yorkshire) due to work/family commitments.
I'm definitely looking to do more this coming season.
(After Barnsley away I didn't want to see another football ever again)

A little bit of optimism goes a long way

I'm sorry but thats what matters to me, it's not being in a great league, the quality of the football, success, amount spent on players or any of that that,, it's about having something to get behind and to cheer on. It's not some anti sisu rant, I could get behind the club with sisu as owners even with sisu giving no money to the club and interest accruing as long as the people in charge at ccfc have as their priority success for the football club with whatever resources they have. I can't get behind people who chose to take the club to Northampton knowing the damage it would cause but not caring because their priority wasn't to succeed with ccfc it was to further sisus cause. These people are still in charge of the club and still saying the same things. Hiring a good manager doesn't change that.

Oh come on Noggin, Mowbray is starting off in League 1 and has already said it MAY take time, but his AMBITION is to get us out of this Hell Hole of a league as soon as possible.
We know from his record that players like Webster and Jackson/Nouble who are either pub standard or give 20 % in most games will never play for us again. The team will be full of hungry young players who will run through a wall for the team.
Hes starting at the bottom so surely we have to give him all the support we can.

I really hope he does succeed but the thread starter asked whether or not we were getting a season ticket next year so I answered. Nothing has changed, I much more confident of success next season but as I say success isn't what I need to want to go again and to give them my money again, it's to believe we all have the same aims and are pulling together. I want a club I can love and can get behind.

I've renewed despite it being hard work travelling to see dross last season. Reasonably optimistic for the forthcoming season but then again I always am! My son has also bought a ST so that's at least one more!

If TM can get what he wants he will build from the bottom right upto the first team,, he has said about things being right in and around the club first.. He does not expect fans to rush back, he knows that it takes time to build trust and belief that the club is going in the right direction... Players are the same if they feel like we are moving forward they buy in, they are motivated to create a togetherness that makes you hard to beat..

The big test will come when money is offered for Maddison, if the owners hold off selling him and dont fall for money plus multiple loans again TM will have won his first battle with control and build on convincing others to come and then fans alike... He has got Sisu's ears and is telling them how to run a club, they have listened because they had no other option, so they now have to stand back support TM in anyway he ask's. And see what TM can do with full control, SW and TF should step aside as both are doing the same role,, pissing off fans,, we need one person at the top who can bridge the gap between fans and the club with honesty, openess and a realistic plan for the future.. Venus will come in, works between the top man and TM, to bring the business and playing suide together with understanding of what can be done..

I still think the club has a way to go to convince fans to walk back in, but the first step is the right one,, now Venus and Proctor should walk in,, with the old guard moving aside.. If TF and SW walk fans might start to see a different side of the Sisu face and start to support the club instead of losing hope that the situation will never change.. I wish TM all the luck as i think he will need it with our owners but at least this time they have made a positive step and in time fans will come back if a team is winning games or the club is moving forward...

I do take your point completely and won't criticise you for it either. I do feel quite a bit more optimistic though even if it's with a hint of 'When do we get the next bombshell from SISU to shatter the feel good factor' ! I will not ever trust this crowd in charge so I'll go to some matches and see how things are going and if there genuinely is real progress on the pitch then I might commit to something after Christmas like a 12 match package. Problem for me is when they did take us to Northampton I found a load of other stuff to do I really enjoyed on a Saturday.

Barely gone for years now, but the price of season tickets has me wavering.

Not fussed about league level, just want to see a team actually attack! tbf to Mowbray his sides have tended to do that in the past.

So... cheapish season ticket, promise of half-decent football... against the fact I work Sat am so have to hurtle across to get there for kickoff, and the fact I'd be sat all on my lonesome as everyone I know who used to be interested, isn't anymore!

Oh,and of course the fact I'd be handing my cash to an evil investment fund... but we take that negative as read, right?

I'll be getting one, and at the risk of sounding like RFC I'd be getting one regardless of the manager, especially at these prices. Part of this is down to the fact there's people I see at the game that I'd be too lazy to contact otherwise.

Also it would seem slightly odd to protest about moving away, only to then not bother going when we come back.

Got mine, as a concession (60+ now, bugger.....) works out at only £8.30. That said, not over bothered about the price, I just want to see a full-blooded 90 minutes of passion from the players on the pitch. Fed up last year of watching some just go through the motions. Whatever happens this season, TM will demand 100% from them. This will be his team so there will be no hiding place (I'm hoping...)

We will be renewing our STs now Mowbray is staying.

He has got an awful lot of work to do but he is saying the right things and providing SISU back him and do what they have promised this could be the start of something good.

Am happy with the retained/released list too, which is a good start.

On a side note, I do enjoy a little trip to the Capital on the chuff chuff and find to my horror that the only team in the league from London will be those scrotes Millwall !

Renewing, was very tempted to give mine up after having one since the age of 5 (minus the 6F season) but the price has got me to renew then TM staying has sealed the deal!

All aboard the 15:00 to the Championship!!

Choo choo!!

I haven't attended a single game since King signed and generally haven't regretted it, especially having seen performances on TV. I live 100 miles from Cov and it just wasn't worth it. I'll be going more this season - starting with Oxford.

Well, we will not be renewing at the moment. After having a ST every season since promotion except at Northampton, we were swept away by the euphoria of the Ricoh return and renewed. Sadly, we regretted it almost every game. It was one miserable experience after another and we are not willing to do that again. Over the years we have witnessed lots of days like today - another 'New Dawn' that fizzled out when things started to go wrong. I guess more than 50 years of watching City makes you a pessimist.

We may get one of the 6-game deals and see how it goes. If we see a sustained change in the way the club is going then we may be back. But we will need more convincing than yet another new manager signing yet another new contract. Having said all that, I really, really hope Mowbray succeeds despite the owners.

so far - nobody has said they are not going who went last season
a few weeks ago when SP was manager with higher ticket prices - that wasnt looking the case and we were looking at gates at 5000

if we can get off to a flyer, I think we can quickly get to the pre sixfields numbers

We really need to not hover around 17th place and lose this optimism

Edit : last poster has changed the above -but in the minority

It's about getting value from your budget, and if we get one or 2 like the Spurs loanee, then that's fine, surely -it's the quality (whether loan or signing) that is important.
