If you buy a season ticket and by some miracle we are back at the Ricoh, do the club have a lay on free transport from Northampton to coventry?

I have just emailed Customer Services at the official CCFC website

Hello

I see the prices have just been issued for the new season, perhaps you can explain to me the pricing, I held a concessionary ticket last season and traveled from Halesowen to the Ricoh, this year you are moving the matches to Northampton and have re-priced the tickets accordingly.

Last season I paid just over £200 for my season ticket, this season you are allowing me to buy at the lower priced season ticket for £138 in the Standard zone, yet my fuel costs will be be double.

I have completed a quick calculation and at 15 pence per mile, the extra fuel costs for the 23 matches will be £258.70, this means I am expected to pay nearly £200 more to watch my team. I am also expected to add at least one hour extra each way to my travelling times (46 hours).

Can you explain please how these costs and extra time in regards to Mr Fishers comments about favourable pricing as part of the move out of Coventry.

As you will appreciate I look forward to your reply as to why I should purchase a Season ticket

His point is that we would not have sold a few thousand on day one last time - it would have been a handful, but it is irrelevant given the fact it was months away from the start of the season, so any comparisons about day 1 sales are silly.

He's not really though, he's someone with a job who's doing what his employers ask as the vast majority of people do.

The good thing is that This is something Joy and Tim will want a daily report on how sales are going. Hopefully they will realise how much they are hated and neck off.

I really hope you're right sky blue John. I know I'm just an interested party as a fan of another club, but as I've said in previous posts I've been following all this since I first joined your site. I can't see any other way of forcing the issue other than them getting appalling low attendances. Unfortunately I wonder if some will think to themselves..'oh well, I won't make much difference' and decide to go anyway. Football is such a massive part of some of our lives and it's hard to go cold turkey. It would be so disappointing to find that they get a good 2 or 3 k attendance, which of course they will milk for all it's worth. They don't deserve it for the way they have treated you fans. Not a penny more!

Putting the NOPM campaign, did you take into account:

1. If you go by car assume£1/mile (fuel, insurance, tax, mot, wear & tear) with a 70 mile round trip, it will cost you 70*23= £1,610
2. Assuming you live 10 miles away from the Ricoh that means an extra cost of £1,150 (if you go to all the games)
3. Assuming travel at 30 miles an hour:

Sorry didn't finish

3. Assuming you travel at 40 miles an hour to Sickfields that's 1.75 hours travelling
4. If you travel at 30miles an hour to the Ricoh that's 0.67hrs
5. So you spend 1.08 hrs extra per game = 25 hours extra in a season.

So, as business case, it costs you £1,150 + 25 hours of your life extra a season.

I can't afford that but if you can good luck.

We live in London so it's actually quicker, cheaper and less wear and tear. Result!
