They physically can’t as they have to leave enough room for large FA cup followings.

Also other clubs that regularly sell out have found that support almost becomes a closed shop, where it’s hard to develop the next generation of fans

Some Premier clubs have membership schemes as they sell out every week. Season tickets for the younger fans are the next generation

Some clubs charge fans (Arsenal, I'm pretty sure) to be on a 'waiting/ballot' list, whatever. Not sure how it works, but think they are then entered into a ballot for when tickets are available, so they effectively shell out a chunk of money, yet may never get a ticket. Nice little earner for the club(s).

I've heard they've accidentally sold 32k and now we're going to have to ground share with villa.

That's why they haven't released the kit, a condition of the ground share is we play in claret and blue.

Apart from that spot on fella

like i've said previously, people asked for safe standing, and to be nearer the away fans. there are likely reasons why the safe standing was put where it is. all people need to do if they want it is to move. not the biggest ask in the history of mankind.

Norwich had one for many years and charged £50 if I remember right. Season ticket sales are capped at 22,000.

Has anyone bought ST through V12 Finance? Or know how much a £400 ST costs if paid monthly through them?
Thanks

Yes, details below.
The loan you are considering is for £408.00. You will pay an arrangement fee of £47.90 payable with your first
instalment of £51.00 and 7 subsequent instalments of £51.00. The total amount you will repay under the agreement
(assuming you pay on time) is £455.90, this is made up of the amount of credit, the arrangement fee, the interest
charge and any deposit you have paid.

You can also up your payments or repay in full at any time.

Hope that helps.

we've already been through the many reasons why people don't want to move

the reason safe standing is where it is, is because they want people to move behind the goal which has not happened at anywhere near the amount they had hoped for

i'm sure they thought they were doing the right thing. can't imagine they would purposely want to alienate their customers.

Should build that 15,000 seater at the university - CBS way too big for us.

Yep - remember the arguments supporting a reduced sized stadium, which would have stifled any potential growth in the fanbase - and guess what has happened!

how have they managed to sell those single tickets that were left in the family zone?

In fairness, SISU were good at stifling any potential growth in fanbase.

We got moved (rightly so tbf). Wife can't make all the games so we had 3 season tickets in seats 23, 24 & 26, leaving 25 free so she could buy a ticket then come and sit with us. Thus season they've closed the gap and automatically moved 26 into 25 leaving 2 together free/spsre)

Why oh why is it important to be near away fans ? Anyone who spends more time looking at away fans and making the wanker sign than watching the game is , ironically, a wanker .

Just a quick update - Purchased 65 tickets today and in total with £11,203 spent
FZ tickets were available which meant we could buy more than if they had been elsewhere in the ground.

Thank you to all who have contributed - still getting nominations and there are others that we couldn't say yes to to start with so if we do receive any more donations then we will carry on buying where possible.

Thank You

Being near the away fans and being part of a good atmosphere is actually a big part of the enjoyment for me and the (older) kids. We sing, they sing, we celebrate, they celebrate, it's all good fun. We've especially loved it when the away fans have brought the 4k in recent years. But I guess the fact that you think we're all there 'making the wanker sign than watching the game', says you probably don't understand it.
