Looks about right. I'm sure when this happens at other clubs there's some sort of compensation, (discount on match ticket), though I may be wrong.

He's had another morning session on the packet, bless him. Probably the most tragic poster this forum has ever seen, which is quite an achievement based on the competition.

The funny thing is he thinks he is being clever inventing what is essentially a fictional character, but it's an alt account, and it's obvious who it is.

Not your real name is it?

Quick, been rumbled, let's talk about something else and throw in another 'loser' or pretend I'm young so people will think it is the personality of my Boosh alias, rather than my real one. You must be desperate bringing that up, given that it was you who flapped it. Then again, you couldn't meet could you? This game would have been over.

You're a massive internet coward, and a tragic human being. Tick tock...

I’ll see you first game of the season…. Oh wait you won’t be there again. Loser

I have said this before, there is nowhere in their statement, copied below, that says they have listened to fans or made Singers Corner safe standing. I can only assume that English comprehension was not a strength when you were at school.

” Following a consultation process, feedback and a successful trial, safe standing will be installed for the upcoming 2024/25 EFL Championship season resulting in 2,732 seats being converted into safe standing areas.

These areas will be:

  • Block 6 – Rows AA to XX (Away Supporters)
  • Block 7 – Rows AA to XX (Away Supporters)
  • Block 11 – Rows AA to XX
  • Block 12 – Rows AA to XX
  • Block 13 – Rows AA to XX
  • Block 14 – Rows AA to XX
In safe standing areas, each fan has their own specific ticketed standing space and seat, with individual rows separated by barriers to prevent falling when fans are stood up.

Supporters currently located in these areas will have their safe standing seats reserved in line with the general seat reservation period for other supporters, which will be published alongside the 24/25 Season Ticket information in due course.

Those supporters in these areas who may not wish to be in a safe standing area will be able to move their seat to other available seats.

The safe standing solution has been trialled at the Coventry Building Society Arena for games in recent weeks and has proved successful. Safe standing has been introduced at a number of other stadiums in recent years since it was licensed ahead of the 2022/23 season.

Coventry City Football Club has been working closely with Coventry Building Society Arena, Coventry City Council and the Sports Ground Safety Authority for over 12 months to introduce this at the Arena, and we would like to thank all those involved for their hard work and co-operation.

Earlier this year the Sky Blues sent a survey to supporters to gauge their views on safe standing, including their preferred location in the Arena for this to be introduced. Over 80% of supporters who completed the survey supported the introduction of safe standing within the stadium with over 70% stating the preferred location for installation being Singers Corner.

John Taylor, Chief Operating Officer at Coventry City, said:

“I would like to thank all supporters who engaged with the club survey earlier this year as this provided valuable feedback to the club on this subject matter. The Club has looked to balance supporter safety regarding persistent standing while also looking to enhance the matchday experience for the Sky Blue Army.”

Paul Michael, Managing Director at Coventry Building Society Arena, said:

“The successful trial run in partnership with the club has proved that standing can be managed safely in designated areas and bring a positive boost to the matchday experience for fans who would prefer to stand during the match.

“We’re confident creating safe standing areas will contribute to maintaining the incredible atmosphere generated by Sky Blues fans at Coventry Building Society Arena which has been a real feature on matchdays in recent years, especially over the past season.”

The installation will commence during the summer and will be completed ahead of the start of the 24/25 campaign.”

when during a game are people finding time to wander round the concourse, or maybe the question should be why would you want to? I'm lucky if I can get a cuppa / pint from the nearest kiosk and be back in my seat for the start of the second half!

Good job some people have made the move from the Corner to the South Stand as we'd have a season of people moaning about families and daytrippers sitting between them and the away fans.

Has anyone else had this when trying to access their season ticket? I’ve turned off the privacy relay… or rather it was not turned on!

It is happening on iPad and phone

Happily renewed the PP in Block 20, in the same seat I’ve sat in since we moved to the Ricoh/CBS.

Thankfully the safe standing v singers corner debate doesn’t impact me, albeit it’s interesting reading.

Last few pages were a bit tragic though.

Still gauges an idea on what people want though, doesn’t it. Club/SAG cannot moan when they go against that.

The "club/SAG" can moan they are the people responsible for safety at the ground and if they don't see as that is done the council WILL close the ground down. Then they can stand where they like but it will not be at the matches.
These people wanted standing areas got them. There "not in the right area ,can't sit/stand with my mates".
Tough in this world you can't always get everything you want compromise the word is.
Although not seating in these areas I for 1 hope the rule is the seat is there for sitting on

i think the club has done well. they've delivered pretty much what they said they would, and probably have good reasons for any late changes. the rest is up to us.
move if you want to move. this includes people who want to stand/be behind the goal/be nearer to the away fans....
stay put if you want to stay put. but don't moan that you're not getting what you want, because the options are there for you.

short of picking people up, wiping their bottoms, and placing them gently down onto their new seat, i'm not sure what else they are expected to do.
