This season was the all time record for season ticket sales, and I believe it was capped at 18.5k (?) which I believe we sold.

Is it likely to be higher of lower next season? Will the cap be increased? I know there will have been increased interest last season with the PL package, and the play off final, but this seasons run-in is exciting with the play off chase and Wembley visit.

Now we’ve got the South Stand half home fans I’d expect the cap to be a bit higher. Maybe 20k?

Do you know how many that leaves for general sale, based on approx 2.5k away allocation, and all the posher seats?

Well it's currently sitting at around 20K and likely to increase if the decides to milk the cup run!!

Yes, capped at 18,500. If South Stand is used for home supporters, especially now we seem to have realised that we don’t need to give 15% of capacity to away fans as per Dave Boddy, presumably that could be upped to, say 22,000.

Id say about 22k is right, shouldnt be giving away fans any more than 2500 as we need the tickets ourselves.

They probably need to increase the price for season tickets from £50 to £125 in the family section as far too many people dont bother turning up, at £50 people just bought them for the sake of it.

I thought we had actually sold 19,500 for this season ?!
You really need to leave plenty of seats for fans who cannot justify or afford STs. Supporters come in all formats.

I wasn’t sure when or where to ask this but it feels like a window of opportunity…

I was hoping to seek some advice. I can’t go to every game but A friend and I are talking about getting a couple of season tickets - possibly 4 - that we would share between ourselves/family.
Neither of us has ever had a season ticket before - apart from in lockdown - the cost might be barrier but I wondered if anyone else does this/if it’s even possible? If anyone else does do this, how do you manage it? Do they check who’s who on the gate etc.
Any advice greatly received.

We’re in the very early stages of thinking about it. My guess is I would probably start heading down for more of the midweek games and hopefully be able to get more away tickets(?).

Last supporters forum they said if an adult uses an adult ticket that’s fine even though strictly it goes against the conditions of sale

Whenever they check they just seem to make sure you're heading to where you should be sat, as mine is just a regular adult card there's never been any need to validate I am the person named on the card itself.

No checks on the gate apart from loose catergory checks (adult/concession/etc).

Go for it.

It’s difficult to believe we don’t strengthen the squad and another year of experience will do a few players a lot of good.

I know the 3 seats next to me are ST holders, and it's regularly different people with 3x families clearly sharing the seats between them. Don't think it's an issue.

Great. That’s what I want to hear.

I was thinking it might be tricky if we factor in things like success eg last game of the season title decider but we can settle those decision like gentlemen…pistols at dawn!

DK mentioned it on an interview over the weekend. We have 19.5K season ticket holders currently, it has slowly increased as the season progressed especially on the intraduction of half-season tickets.

How much would that cost? Was the stadium not originally designed to be easily expanded?

The stand opposite the dugouts was designed to have another tier added if I recall correctly

I did think about where they could expand if necessary. It would probably have to be the North stand, which isn’t ideal.

Trouble is it would have to go outwards and there isn't room due to the railway line. Casino/Exhibition hall prevents you from doing the other side. South stand and you might be too close to the road.

So when the sheiks take over, I was thinking another tier on the East Stand, and expand backwards out over the railway line, then have an integrated station in the arena.

No wonder other fan bases laugh at us. We don’t regularly sell out our games, fans complain when the south stand is opened to bring in more fans and now talk of expanding the stadium
