Putting the prices up after such an abysmal season especially as we don't know what league we'll be playing in come August is wrong. SISU are reasonable, (Sarcasm really being layered on with a trowel there). They should look at existing season ticket holders and say "Actually guys and gals, we owe you something for wanting to renew after the season we've had" and offer them a discount not an increase. However, as they've already borrowed money against their season ticket revenue for next season, (to pay for our free loan signings presumably), they're going for the pound NOT the pride.

Here's an odd one. A friend of mine has been a United fan for around 25 years. A real passionate one. He'd come and watch the City as a "second" team every now and then. We all know one like that.

But here's a twist. Somewhere along the way this season he has turned his back on United, bought a season ticket for the remainder of the season at the Ricoh and not missed a home or away match since.

Anyone care to explain?

Just seen this post, so to answer this my first question would be , has your mate suffered any brain trauma over the last year or so !!

They haven't put the prices up. Two seasons ago my ticket was £492 now it is £288 so if it now goes to £296 so what? In truth to watch 23 games a season this is fantastic value. If you look at it from the owners perspective just for once they radically altered the pricing structure at the start of the season which benefited 90% of fans. Still no one buys the tickets. If you really want my honest view the majority of our "supporters" sit super glued to the armchair every Saturday, text dross into Cwr moaning how rubbish we are and find any and every excuse not to attend. Then the minute we have a sniff of glory they all turn up and moan even more if they do not get a ticket. We are an embarrassment of a club support wise and should be grateful someone, anyone is prepared to keep us afloat.

After 9 years in France i've finally landed back in England. its took me from packing the first box, up till now, 4 weeks to get most of our stuff back, and as i sit here in Diss Norfolk we are finally settled..ish.

Anyway the main reason for me coming back was the return last year of my son to Uni in London. We all missed him so much the distance was too much to see him regularly, and with the wish of my daughter who wants to go to Uni in Liverpool in two years, i just thought lets go back now and get settled somewhere.

The third reason was my yearning to go back to the regular mental punishment of seeing my second love (after the family of course)of watching the mighty skyblues play footie again.
I've really missed watching them, and i do blame my massive hair loss in the late nineties on them, but yes i'll be their as much as I can, a season ticket may happen but i might just wait a little longer to see what may happen over the close/pre season.

Can't wait

You live in Diss. That is a long haul to Coventry. The average "fan" thinks he deserves a knighthood if he goes to one game if he comes from coundon. The game no doubt being an f a cup encounter against Chelsea.

He had a mild stroke in the last few months and looking at red colours in noisy atmospheres hurts his head whether the sky blue shirts mixed with the relaxing calm ricoh atmosphere comforts him?

Despite all your well meaning and loyal gestures, 4000 ST holders renewing { I doubt it will be much more} is pissing in the wind, SISU will have already spent that money I suspect by borrowing forward. The future has to lie in Debt, rent and wage reduction............otherwise there will be no future.

Renewed today to support the team(and get £20 voucher) not the mess we,re in. Much rather watch my own club than give rupert maddog my money to watch teams on sky sports I don,t give a toss about.I,ll probably have a few moans and groans again but its sure to to better than cleaning the car, shopping, decorating etc on a saturday afternoon.
Andy Thorn and Carl Baker to excell for us next year, who knows ? :thinking about:
