But it wasn’t £550 for the Premier Package last season. It was £500. Plus £8 fees
Only for those that bought them the first year, otherwise it was £550
The new Premier League package 2.0 is set at £550 for new purchasers to this scheme, with this seasonal cost fixed for the next 4 seasons if they keep renewing each campaign, until we reach the Premier League when the package will end.

Keep the prices reasonable , I dont care what Sheffield wednesday pay , I dont care what oxford pay , I dont care what Wrexham pay , I dont care what the cost was in 1997 , I dont care about 2009 ... I care about what the price is now and how much I think is a reasonable rise from that price .

If we want better players and a better chance of promotion/ playoffs ST has to go up. People wanting them to stay as low as possible for their own gain without increase have no idea about a progressive ambitious club. They must/need to increase year on year or we will be left behind .

Ultimately though it does come down to personal circumstances. We wouldnt get anywhere the number of sales if we massively increased the prices so it negates the potential additional revenue we could make by doing so

I’ve got the lad with me for the most part…2.5 hours for me. We’ve got into a nice routine of Greggs, service station just before the CBS, the CBS.
The only downside is the traffic jams. 4 hours there, 5 hours back is our record. Fortunately we’d won that day.

I must get one of those incar piss tube things* for next season.

*or a bucket.

The extra revenue from an increase in ST prices makes little difference in the budget for spending. If we sold 21000 STs with a £50 price rise, that only brings in an extra 1 million pounds , which is diddly squat in the scheme of things when you look at the cost of a couple of top level signings.

I’m all posh now, was thinking about a Balcony Bar ST this year. How does that normally work? Are details released the same time as STs? Just worried about missing my ST window and then deciding Balcony Bar isn’t worth it/has got stupidly expensive.

An extra £ 1million from a small increase might not seem a lot when you think about how much a good new centre back would cost, but it could pay for an extra physio, to upgrade facilities at Ryton, to go on a mid season warm weather training trip during an international break. Things behind the scenes that might make a difference when it comes to where we are at this time next year

Would be about a £50 increase for £1m uplift wouldn’t it?

Or they could give us a discount for our loyalty over the years and make up the difference out of their own pockets cos they’ve got lots of money to spend on stuff?

they've not been that organised in the past but you'd hope with King having kicked everyone up the arse you'd get all the info out in one go.

in the past its been a bit of a drip feed but I think the packages have always been released before the early bird date or your seat being released for general sale.

Second was Leon Clarke was going to Barnsley

I had decided not to renew for 24/25 because of the amount of matches moved in 23/24 that I couldn't get to but in the end I didn't want to miss out so got 1 for me and an 18-21 ST for my son. I managed to get to 17 home games as well as the home play off semi final and 3 away games, my son has an app that he records fixtures he attends and he said we each travelled just under 14,000 miles watching CCFC! I will renew but my son wants to play u21 football so I will upgrade his to an adult ST in the hope he will change his mind & if he doesn't want to go I will take my niece or spoil my wife again

He's definately got ticket info correct in the past. Some things that could only be known within the ticket office.

I actually think to our credit we're a very reasonable fanbase these days.

Doug, if you're reading this, we'll accept a price increase, but don't take the piss.

I'm happy to pay a bit more to have the squad invested in. That is precisely what a club is - funded by its members .

Except we are customers. We decide if we pay. Price us out and kiss goodbye to a fanbase.

We have had record attendances this year - a 5-10% increase will not be pricing anybody out over a season

Agreed. Even a £23 increase which is around 5% increase means it’s an extra £1 a game over the season.

Family zone oversubscribed and therefore too cheap
Other areas, a 5% increase would not be unreasonable

15000 STH excluding premier package adding £20 + VAT to their season ticket only generates £300k revenue - but it is all incremental and we need to be doing that across revenue streams

If we’re customers then the club is massively undercharging at the moment.

In a normal business/customer relationship, the aim is to maximise income, not number of sales.

Doug could massively increase income if he wanted with huge hikes. Yes attendances would plummet, but that would be more than offset by the price increase. Furthermore he could then also reduce costs by getting rid of a load of the stewards who wouldn’t be needed with the lower crowds.

We definitely are not just “customers”.

its also protecting the long term investment - Maximising year 1 revenue does not ensure a long term viable model
