Yes it was great that my season was almost £100 cheaper this season, but has the reduction in prices actually helped the club? Attendences are lower than ever and no way have they sold enough additional season tickets this season to cover the loss in income on existing holders renewing.
I reckon there are about 7k fans who like me would have renewed if the price ahdn't reduced and at least 5k of those would have renewed if there had been a slight increase ( i would have).
To top it off i know one bloke who ordered his season ticket online and they only charged him the OAP price for an adult ticket!
Its not exactly a new thing .We've been able to buy STs for around £300 on early bird since movein, the reason they pushed them so hard ,there are around 9000,was to get the loan amount up front for opporational money ,and to trap punters knowing the product sold was sub standard
Don't know then speedie ,but iv'e always wondered why more don't take them up on what was io ,now 8 monthly interest free instalments, gets rid of so much inconvenience. like your theory on Teves in the other thread, more FA fudgement ,broken rules ,London bias
My ticket was £480 and is now £288. It is because they standardised the price other than the 2 centre rows. It has cost some revenue as I would have renewed as would many others anyway.
