Email received today.

Question number 3:

3. If there was to be a free matchday shuttle service from your area to Sky Blues home games, would you use this?

Just filled it out. Doesn’t affect me as I walk 20 mins down the canal. Would be great to see it put on though. Something has just popped up in a group I’m in. Has anyone seen anything on away travel? Again not something I’m likely to use but I can’t recall seeing anything on it anywhere.

I’ll only need a lift ‘back’ to Majorca after the game and then a lift to the next home game 2 weeks later

Not sure how many people travel from distance but would consider using shuttle if there was one from around J3 of the M6. I would even consider getting a shuttle from Bedworth.

Some kind of P&R at points like Memorial Park, Warwickshire Shopping Park, Showcase, and some places in the West of the city would be perfect. Frankly add £1 to each ticket to fund it.

Filled it in as travel back from games is getting to the point of making it impractical to go to any in midweek. Surely ‘matchday specials’ could be put on?

I answered Q3 with yes, let's see if they can provide a shuttle service to/from Scotland

You'll probably end up being responsible for a shuttle to Scots Lane in Coundon.

In the comments bit I asked if they could just build a new stadium nearer to me and I just got an email back from the club with a wink emoji. Strange

They tried this when we first moved to the arena and I was offered Jaguar at Whitley I wrote to Hover and said what is the sense in this I will have to drive past the ground for at least 10 minutes to get there.

As someone who has actually walked home, almost four miles, because I would be back only 10 or 20 minutes later, and over £4 richer, than if I used public transport, I hope the club brings back the city centre shuttle.

We could have some kind of traffic free route, maybe on rails so it can go faster, with lots of carriages so it can carry a lot of people straight to the city centre

Can anybody else remember when the ricoh opened, was there a barge that went from the canal basin with lap dancers or did I dream it?

That’s not a bad idea, just need to come up with a short and snappy name for it.
How about “ train “

I think you might have added the lap dancers but there was definitely a barge. They should bring that back now there’s proper crowds again.

Warwick get limos, helicopters for Leamington, canal boats back on for Bedworth and Nuneaton, but they have to make their own way to Sutton Stop to get on

some years ago used a P&R from the Jag car park. Not sure if it’s still going.
