I can't believe the season starts this weekend. It feels a million miles away to me.
Normally my season ticket will be sat in my wallet. Money added to it for beers, shirt bought, first away day planned.
But not this season. Nothing at all, I don't even feel anything.

Gutted.

Totally agree.

It really feels like we are not playing at all this season.

I feel numb to the whole thing. Not a single jot of excitement or anticipation or delight.

Sad, sad times.

It pains me to say it, but the longer this drags out the greater the chance of me never returning. I work 2 weekends a month anyway so I need to book days/nights off in advance. That obviously can't be done and I've already started planning other things.

You mean you are in the office sleeping 2 weekends a month :p

Im the same mate, the other half got a new job that gives her 2 free season tickets, should be over the moon with that but not even remotely excited. Hard trying to explain to the little man why we wont be using them though.

Absolutely gutted to to say I have no interest in this season. Like Hill my season ticket would of been securely place in my wallet and me bouncing off the walls screaming "champions league in 4 years!!!" Never felt so separated from the city as I do now and the fact I haven't even brought my 1 week old son the city kit shouts volumes.

Same here.

Chance of a job teaching drama on Saturdays. If I take that it might well be no return ever.

Personally, I'm more disappointed for my son than for myself. He was just starting out on the whole Sky Blue Adventure. You know what it's like, it just sucks you in...

This is killing my passion not only for CCFC but also the professional game. I have no excitement for this season coming, feel no great link to the team, have no expectations (positive ones anyway). I find I am looking for other things I can do on a saturday afternoon and to be honest there are a lot of options. Strong chance I like many others will not be back

The one thing football related that I will enjoy is watching my lad play in the local leagues - football played with spirit and a smile on the face, very very little politics and no financial skulduggerry

I would hope that the owners cared about the effect they are having on generations of potential CCFC fans - but I really do not think they give a damn

Ive just about had enough. £500 waiting to spend- but it doesnt look like it will be going the way of ccfc
I havent even got the excitement to go to away games (usually do about 1 in 3)

until it returns to being just about football, Im out

I have no plans to go to any game at all or buy anything (nothing to do with screaming NOPM with every post, just a personal disillusionment) but I saw myself at least listening to the games on the radio.

This pre-season though, I've barely been aware of when our friendlies have been taking place and cared even less about what happened, so I'm not sure how much motivation I'll have to follow the 'real' fixtures.

I had the notion that I was so disillusioned that a U-turn and a Ricoh announcement wouldn't be enough to make me bother, but at this late stage it might be like a shot of adrenaline I need to get back into it.

Well fuck you lot....I've got my new Panini sticker book, my new wooden rattle, a sherbet dib-dab, 2 jaw breakers, a new bobble hat & scarf that my ma knitted & I've even got a hand-me-down Ian Wallace kit....

...Now as soon as I've finished listening to Mike Reid on 275/285 Radio 1, I'm gonna get on my space hopper & head off to crawley....

I'm only gonna stop to feed the gypsies horses with this packet of Space Dust....

It'll quicker on a chopper bike, attached a piece of cardboard to the spokes so it'll sound like an engine when you cycle

I was king on Mike Reid's Pop Quiz on the Commodore 64. The trick to it was realising that it didn't have many questions to remember, and then not to tell anyone you'd play it loads already.

I'm at Crawley but I feel as if I'm just going through the motions.
If a deal is sorted this afternoon that will all change.
Hate to not be going to Crawley if we come out with a CVA and Ricoh agreement.
If we don't then it will be like a funeral wake....................... and maybe my last CCFC game.

I've always gone though CC4L. Over 40 years. Practically every home game.

For that suddenly not to be available to me is a massive blow and has blown all my enthusiasm clean out the window.

This is my feeling as well.

Our situation along with the football league announcing 'official pizza partners' and having a gambling company as a sponsor (meaning kids can't go and buy the shirt with the sleeve badges without an adult due to the law about gambling sponsorships) along with the lower league clubs being bullied into this new rule regarding homegrown talent (which meant Arsenal would've cherrypicked Theo Walcott for about £35,000) has just made me a bit disillusioned with modern football. Reserve team players are earning more in a week than 95% of the population earn in a year.

Ruined for the fans who were here first, here now and will be here forever by the money men either looking to make a quick buck or use and abuse as a "plaything". Lets not even get started about how some of these foreign owners ploughing billions into clubs and buying trophies have actually made their money.

F**k football. I appreciate that rant could be construed as a bit OTT but at the end of the day, all the above and the CCFC situation has contributed to me not really caring about the sport I grew up loving and spending a lot of time either playing or watching.

N.B. I'm still going Crawley though, mainly for a day on the beers. The footy will probably be an inconvenience. :D

Just think ahead to the scenario of SP picking up 7 or 8 decent players after the embargo is lifted and for the first time ever match reports will contain details of their performances, skills and contribution and we will have never seen these players playing live and won't for some considerable time.

I do a monthly football/sport spot in one of the local papers and will struggle to associate these players with actual performances that I can comment on - I will have to do a bit of plagiarism with Andy Turner's stuff methinks.

Weird situation.

ps: unfortunately can't get to way games because of mobility problems

Hardly missed a game home or away last season, but I seem to have lost all my interest. I was looking at the fixture list and thinking what my first game might be.. and though bollocks can't be arsed.
