Pessimistic i know but i did say on tuesday before kick off, i could see us losing against crewe then losing against Yeovil today and that pretty much resulting in the season being over.

Although i did not expect this to be the case i can only see our usual negative "heads down" approach from here on in.

i would love us to get something against crewe but i cant help but think that the negativity and disappointment that was drawn from the extra 15000 supporters leaving miserable and down is going to effect the players badly

still a lot to play for but we have made it very difficult for ourselves

It feels that way at the moment

If we don't start scoring goals again it will be over soon

Still all to play but imo we wouldn't have the metal for a play off situation. The game against crewe proved this.

Totally agree. Best we write this season off and re group and get everything sorted for next season. 2 defenders and David mcG plus another striker ,

i agree! inexperienced squad proves to be soft in big games!

we need an experienced striker who can bag goals. Although Leon Clarke has put them away recently he still hasnt for me looked sharp enough to be dangerous and cause problems. i think he his goals have overshadowed his average performances.

I think today's results show we should not right anything off

Nearly all the 10 sides around and above us had what they would view as winnable fixtures and only Sheffield Utd an Bournemouth won them
Brentford drew with Bury
Doncaster lost to Walsall
Tranmere lost to Orient
MK lost to Oldham
Swindon drew with Hartlepool
Crawley lost to Scunthorpe
Stevenage lost to Carlisle

It's results like this that give me the belief that if we can put a good run of games together there is still an opportunity

I wouldnt write the season off just yet! Look at some of the other weird results today -Brentford could only draw at home to Bury - Doncaster lost at home to Walsall - Tranmere lost again - MK Dons lost again - Crawley lost at Scunthorpe and Swindon could only draw at home to Hartlepool.
We still have a good chance at the play-off places if we can pick up where we left off at Sheff Utd last Friday (Its only 1 league game weve lost) if we can beat Bury Away its game on again!

Yep. I've been an optimist until this point. But losing against Crewe shrews Carlisle and now Yeovil to me says we're not good enough.

You want to write the season off with 14 games still to play?

This time next week with a win under our belts at Bury we will believe we can even turn the Crewe result around! If we lose the next 2 I might then think about agreeing with you.

It's only one result. But a big one. I might be jumping the gun a bit, but I think that's it now.

Lots have had us dead certs for the play-offs though, lots of "told you so's", counting chickens before hatched.

Don't think we'll reach the play-offs this season, but not too disappointed as never have done, think good chance of automatic next season though.

Apart from Bournemouth, the results did go with us today, but we have to be better up front or we haven't got a prayer of even finishing top 10 now !!

The season is not over yet. We would probably need about 30 more points if we're to make the play-offs. There are 42 points left to play for. That allows a couple more defeats and 3 draws. Defeat today was not terminal, but it does reduce the scope for further slip ups this season.

Season over...so close to Wembley and playoffs...now I feel we've blown both opportunities. Very down and quite pleased not to be seeing Cov play at Bury or Crewe away.

Of course its not over until its over... but being realistic it is a tough ask..It doesn't mean we wont be there with them every step of the way.. but its a tough mountain to climb.
Improbable but possible.

Don't think anyone said we would, just that we shouldn't write it off

It's worth a silly fiver but would be quite incredible if it happened. Don t think unless we stop this blip immediately that the play offs are on either. Damn that fecking about at the start if the season, it's cost us dear
