It’s time and I will give him two windows for our owner to back this manager with good funds , I don’t expect the world but I do expect serious intent . I won’t hold my breath but let’s wait and see

Maths seems ok to me. Some people don’t like the obvious conclusion. Doesn’t make the maths questionable though.

Failure to make playoffs will be down to Robins tenure, not Lampard‘s. No matter how successful Robins and Viveash here for a long time. They should both have gone when Adi left, simple as.

And it has nothing to do with the conclusion. I have no problem with VOR's conclusion.

He said 1.9 points a game. No idea what you are working out there goblin but he has been in charge 7 games. 7x1 = 7, 7x0.9=6.3 so he would need to have scored 13.3 for that to be correct. You should be doing 11/7 which is 1.5ish... Odd that you'd all make the same mistake though unless I am reading it wrong in which case I am going to look very foolish.

Happens to us all from time to time.

Going back to first principles, its 11 points from 7 games isn’t it, which is 1.57 per game.

We have 22 games left, times 1.57 would give an additional 35 points (rounded up) To add to the 28 we already have. That would give 63 which would be 10th place, or thereabouts. Failure compared to the stated ambition.

1.57 per match for the Entire season would have given us 72 points, enough for 7th last season, and possible playoffs if, say, we had taken points off the likes of Norwich.

I would suggest none of us have covered ourselves in mathematical glory but I still am of the view that failure to make in or around playoffs will be down to early season endeavours, not the final 2/3rds.

Math hurt

Will concede defeat though, that it is 1.57 and not 1.9 as I worked out.

Will just look the stat up next time

The atmosphere at the ground today was flst and so was the performance. But put into context did we do well?

Here is a list of the best to worst sides in this division, this for me sheds some light as to where we are at as a Football club.

1 Burnley
2 Leeds
3 Sheffield United
4 Sunderland
5 WBA
6 Blackburn
7 Norwich
8 Watford
9 Middlesbrough
10 Swansea
11 Coventry
12 Bristol

For me that's how good our squad as a collective is in this division.

It goes hand in hand with our poor performances, flat performances, to then having 1 really good game every 5 or 6 fixtures, conceding 2 goals every game on average and our unpredictable nature when factoring in form.

There are massive holes in our side, we never replaced Hamer, we replaced Mcnally, Mcfadzean, Callum Doyle, Rose and Hyam with Lat, Binks, Kitching and Bobby Thomas.
This is a huge downgrade, it's poor jfrom our scouts and recruitment team.

I don't care what anyone says Rudoni can't lace O'Hares boots. Rudoni has been a decent signing, but he hasn't got O'Hares low centre of gravity nor does he have O'Hares ability to truly be the link up man between Midfield and Attack, O'Hare would enter pockets of space all game, turn dribble and play a through ball. Rudoni isn't capable of this.

For me these are our 2 main issues, we have become very Bristol City and this is due to the downgrade in quality brought in.

Tavares, Binks, Kitching, Joel Lat, Dasilva, Asante, Collins, Allen are all simply not good enough. There is not 1 player mentioned there that will go on to play at higher level than where they are currently and this is simply appalling from our recruitment.

Bobby Thomas is 1 moment away from fucking a 6 yard pass up and loosing us the game, every fucking week. Again at the level we want to be reaching, not good enough.
Why isn't he playing for Burnley? After all they are in our division? Because he's not good enough for them, a team we need to compete with in order to get promoted.

We have a very important summer transfer window on our hands, I do believe the summer transfer window coming up will tell us everything we need to know regarding where this Football club is heading in terms of our ambitions, we can all be fed Doug King one liners and promotion nonsense.

But unless the summer window is a window of fixing what the club got wrong ie centre backs, spending money on a creative player that isn't just a passenger for 75 minutes with 1 or 2 wasted chances, and finally moving on those that are not good enough (Kitching, Binks, Collins, DaSilva, Thomas-Asante) if these issues are not addressed we are going nowhere as a Football Club.

Someone certainly hasn't. Interesting that you felt the need to double down and poo-bomb me for politely pointing out someone else's mathematical error.

The 'whose fault is it we didn't make the playoff' question has been done to death. End of the day it is irrelevant. Lampard's results this far have been okay not spectacular but we can't afford for the season to fizzle out. He needs to show that the glory days are not a thing of the past and that there is reason to be excited about next season. A run at the playoffs or a decent effort in the cup is necessary for him in my view.

No. The league is still close, we’re only 9 points off the top 6. And our best forwards are out.

EMC - Wright - Sakamoto front line could shoot us up the league.

We do need to put a run together now though.

Here's to hoping, there is normally a team that flies up from obscurity. Fingers crossed it can be us!

7 games... maximum 21 points
7 games achieved 11 points
21 points divided by 11 points equals 1.9 points per games.
22 games remain x 1.9 per games
Add to the 28 points we already have equals 70 points.

Is it fuck, Carney Chukwuemeka on loan alongside another 3 world beaters and we are winning the playoffs and the FA cup.

Slightly annoying as I’d have preferred autos because one of the PO final or FA final will have to move dates.

Ah... the difference here appears to be that you are Brummagem Standard model of mathematics. It is more common if you want to calculate points per game to divide the number of points (11) by the number of games (7). The difference probably won't alter your conclusion though so... let's not get too hung up on it.

13th with a nice FA Cup run to make things interesting would do me for this season. Then get some actual experience and loans for the start of next season. No one gets promoted out of this league without a couple of top quality loans

I think we are looking at about 15th with our current squad and with the injury list as it is. Very much an anti climax after all the summer hype. Too weak at the back, too samey in the middle and our best striker could still be out a few more weeks according to Frank on CWR.

We’d need automatic form to get in the top 6.

This squad managed it for ~2 months last season but based on this seasons showing it seems highly unlikely.

Unless we have an insane January it’s about laying the foundations for next season unfortunately.

No, as (however unlikely it seems at the moment) we could go on a run. Win 4 or 5 in a row and we're right up there. + There will be new players coming in next month. I think Frank has done a good job so far, but he needs 1 window, to really judge him. All is not lost. 2-3 new players, the introduction of Rodrigues, and the return of EMC and Wright, and we could just be that team that makes a late surge.

It is now.

Toothless without Wright and EMC and realistically too far behind.

As for our support, the team are just killing it with poor performances. First 5 mins we were plenty loud today, then again after the equaliser but other than that they gave us nothing.
