It could be both, we are depleted and we need decent squad improvement even when our walking wounded get back. Should give MR much needed options and for six months gives is chance to have a good look at him before deciding wether to keep him before putting a bid in for Saka or Foden.Or is it to cover injury?

Agreed. Godden is available now, so Maguire will give us another option off the bench, as Walker is clearly not good enough.6 month deal, provides a bit of depth that we need, won’t get in over Vik or a fit Godden
He will be playing for a contract either here or elsewhere in the summer so you’d hope that means he’s going to work his arse off
If he’s no good we can just get rid in the summer

Yeah quite a few good headed goals earlier on in his Preston career, even though he's not a big guy.He looks like he isn't half bad in the air.
