We need a striker, a centre midfielder and a centre back minimum. Could probably do with another defender and midfielder on top of that as well tbh.

Surprised but also quite pleased. Never rated him. Very susceptible to the long ball. Can definitely do better and hopefully McLean will be the man - can't say I know much about him though!

GK - Burge, Allsop

DEF - Clarke, Phillips, Willis, Webster, Johnson, Pugh, Haynes, another

MID - Swanson, O'Brien, Fleck, Thomas, Daniels, Lawton*, Finch*

ATT - McQuoid, Tudgay, Miller, another, Thomas*, Maddison*

*I think that these will step up if we have an injury crisis

It's not a terribly small squad as long as we get the other defender and attacker that pressley wants with at least two players in each position.

7 defenders (or 8 with an addition) and we sometimes play 5 at the back. I'd say that was pretty tight

"We had to fend off interest from other clubs to get him
here," said Sky Blues manager Steven Pressley.

"I'm extremely pleased that we've managed to get Dan over the line, because
he made quite a impression on us during his short loan spell and he definitely
brings strength and physicality to our back line.

Waggott the genius scout seems to be a worse judge than Andy Thorn

Never rated Seabourne gave the ball away too often and whoever replaces him can't be much worse.

I said i didn't rate him so I agree with SP on this one

That said though, it is slightly worrying how many signings Pressley and Waggott (as it's not Pressley alone) have brought in, and how many of the same players have already left!

Does leave us short, so he must have a replacement lined up, but will they be fit? Have they had a proper pre season? I doubt it, unless it's someone on loan whose manager has only just decided he's not wanted, as Seabourne will be when he signs for someone else.

That's why I think it's mclean being lined up,because he knows the system, and should be as fit as he has trained with us,hopefully we sign him and he is a good addition !!! #PUSB !!!

Be pretty rubbish if you lost your place in the squad to the bosses mate.

Sorry to say it bit this must go down as another SP transfer failing! He keeps talking about building for a long term project yet anyone who is half decent is sold and evening else he has brought in are released because they are shit! Yet Jordan Clarke continues to be raved about. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now but his transfer record is fairly atrocious. Lets hope his latest batch are somewhat different. Seabourne was half decent in my opinion. I'm sure he 'fitted our DNA' when he signed too!

SP said that some players would be upset to not be first choices...guess Seaborne was one of them

Although I didn't rate him, I kinda hope he has something lined up. Seems he's been messed about a little by thinking he was here for the long haul (didn't he sign a 3 year contract, or was it a 1 like we seem to be offering out now a day?)

I think he was on about Pressley's signings are released because they are crap, neither of them were signed by Pressley.

That's Manset, Slager and Seabourne who have been signed and released in the last 12 months. Not to mention the long list of extremely poor loan signings.

Free or not, Johnson is a better player than Seabourne. And we did afford him. Apology accepted.

You must know by now that I've always had a dislike of Clarke!! doesn't help that he lives down the road and drives around in a stupid matte green range rover evoque. It's more his ability than the car though tbh

Tbf, why anyone would want a green car is beyond me especially an Evoque. Such a nice car wasted on a god awful colour!

I used to think he was a poor player. However I think last pre season was the kick up the ass he needed.

And this season, if he plays right wing back, I think he'll do alright. I hope so anyway after almost sounding like a Jordan Clarke convert!

yer, we have paid for them to leave, surely otherwise, they would just leave on a "free transfer" ?

Seabourne has spent his whole career in the South West -- it may just be a case of not settling.
