Sheffield United - parachute payment team. Why wouldn’t you want them out of the league?

I would like Sunderland to go up just to watch their fans meltdown next season when they push hard to beat the Derby points record.

Yeah I’d actually rather Sunderland get promoted from a sporting perspective

But as a city fan reducing the number of parachute payment teams has to be the priority

I’d rather Sheffield United crash and burn. But yeah, got to think of what’s best for us and that’s Sheffield United going up

Sheff Utd. Short term pain of seeing O’Hare get promoted counterbalanced by long term gain of seeing O’Hare sit on the bench watching his team lose every week for a year.

Head over heart, it's got to be Sheff Utd, Sunderland won't be as strong as last year, whereas Sheff Utd with their parachute payments will be as strong as this year

“Shitefield” doesn’t work at all imo, would’ve gone with some variation on “Sheffield U-Shited”, or maybe even “Shitfield”

Would like to see Hamer and O’Hare do well. Promotion should make Hamer more valuable in the long run too. Not a single Sunderland player I could give a fuck about, fuck ‘em.

Have to say I don't mind Sunderland at all. Like to see them go up in a way as they are a big club with a big fan base. Also, would probably mean that SU would most likely lose Hamer and a few others.

Saying that, being sensible, has to be SU purely because of the Parachute payments, which highlights how unfair and two-tiered the Championship is becoming.

But they WILL lose Hamer, I think regardless of what league they're in next season, Hamer will be gone. That makes them significantly weaker. Granted, they've got the money, but there aren't many players like Hamer around, and competition is fierce. Especially with money bags Wrexham coming up and Southampton coming down. They'll have a very difficult job replacing him. And for him to fuck off and leave O'Hare still in the championship after his certain "big Premier league move" would be the icing.

I want Sheff Utd to win, mainly because I want one less team with parachute payments in our league.

If they go up, there isn't a risk that they will do what Leeds did this year, when in the second year of parachute payments they along with Burnley a(and Sheff Utd) virtually walked it above anyone else.

If Sunderland go up and come down its yet another team that will end up with a bigger budget than us, and we want the pool to be lees diluted...I also think we have more chance taking pints from Sunderland next year than them.

Re O'Hare if they go up I think he will be on the bench most the season, and Hamer will probably move onto better things.

Top three were head and shoulders ahead of the rest, would rather see back of Sheff Utd. Plus, Sunderland would be decimated if they don't go up, Bellingham and Rigg will likely be gone. But on the flip side, Sheff Utd would surely lose the likes of Hamer if they don't go up.

We want Hamer to go for as much as possible and they’ll get more as a PL team than a Champ one.

Hate the way Sheff Utd play under Wilder, so would normally plump for Sunderland to win, but as the Blades are a parachute payment team, it has to be best for us and our chances next season, to see them go up and out of this league.

Not rooting for anyone, but best from a Sky Blues perspective, it would be much better if it was Sheff Utd

I thinknits looking likely it'll be Everton. Unlike Vik I don't see a bidding war. They'll only get (I'd say) £25m. They'll want more than the £15m they paid but don't see much more than £25-30m regardless of which league they're in. Hopefully I'm wrong and he sells for £50m, but I dont see it

I think that, unlike Gyokeres, Hamer hasn't yet proven himself as anything other than a top Championship player. A class act in the championship for us and a class season (pots no less) for blunts unfortunately sandwich a season where, although he was a stand out player for them, he was in a team that finished rock bottom getting spanked 6-0 every week.
Vik on the other hand has gone on to put himself in the limelight, being Europe's leading goal scorer and showcased himself in the UCL. Unfortunately, blunts is a step up from us as a career move, but not one to put yourself on show to the world like Gyokeres has. Once given an opportunity to showcase himself in a well established PL team I think he will show the world what he is capable of and in turn demand that sort of transfer fee. But at current, his Premier league showing is getting dicked week in week out. I think Everton could well be the stepping stone he needs to get a top half club.

We'd of been stupid if not. I cant see us getting 15% for Gyokers and 0% for Hamer. Not with Doug King, he's a shrewder business man than that I'm sure? Especially when doing business with a club with parachute money.

Sunderland fans are absolutely seething whenever a pundit comments that Coventry were the better side, which i've seen plenty of. Banging on about game plans like it was a masterstroke to get MvE to play in their striker at the end of the first game and an even bigger masterstroke to lose that lead at home and go to extra time.
I do honestly hope they get mullered and we go back to how it should be next season, us taking a minimum of 4 points from Sunderland .
