Indeed.

And what the fook has this got to do with football and being a football supporter? I despair.

Doesn't happen with any other sport. Have we learnt nothing? Who in their right mind would think it is okay to set out to kill someone and let's not hold back on this, when you deliberately, repeatedly kick someone in the head you must know that there is a fair chance they might die as a result.

Even if someone doesn't die from the attack, you know the likelihood of permanent injury or brain damage must be very, very high.

I don't know how we eradicate it, but we really need to eradicate it completely.

When we catch these shitty scum the charge has to be attempted murder, even if it is in the 2nd degree.

I would charge every person who kicks someone in the head with attempted murder

If you are forced into a fight situation then a kick in the bollocks gives you plenty of time to get to safety

I see someone has been arrested in relation to the attack but just charged with wounding.Like you say Otis it's attempted murder.

You see these CCTV things all the time. Someone hits the deck then half a dozen cowards wade in punching and kicking a defenceless body. Sometimes you'll even see them walk back from yards away for one last boot. So my question to cunts like this is what are you trying to do if you aren't trying to killtthe person?????? Give them a little graze? Ridiculous. If you render someone incapable of being a threat to you, anything afterwards means you want to do them serious harm. This incident is even worse because there is no reason whatsoever for it

You won't eradicate it, scum will be scum whether its football related or not. It's not as if violence is isolated only to football related incidents, if it wasn't a football related crime then these people would have assaulted someone in a non football related crime (whether it be on a drunken night or wherever) because that is who they are.

Otis, he has been arested with wounding, but can be charged with anything more serious if they can prove the case, including attempted murder, although legally its a hard one to prove the attempted muredr as opposed to wounding.
This basically shows how shit our legal system is, that someone can fight for life and the scumer who does it may not get what he deserves down to points of law set by legal minds who have never lived in the real world.

I read a bit of reaction on a Wolves forum when this broke
There are absolutely no excuses for this type of behaviour but some were suggesting the Watford fans were giving It large after the match, so what?

On another more Important note but still no justification I believe the players on both sides Inflamed the atmosphere In the last ten minutes of the game and a couple were sent off
I don't think they understand the huge Influence they can have on the experience of the crowd with their actions
Again not suggesting any mitigation to the awful events here, just a bit of background to responsibilities

tbf the comments under the article in the OP were (when I checked, at least!) reassuring in their condemnation.

I am unable to watch the footage at present but without even seeing it,they should lock the little prick up and put him in young offenders where he has to fend for himself each day and see how he likes getting a good kick in.

Watford giving it large ? My word times have changed ? Back in the day they never had a 'boy' to shout of ? I expect it's an excuse for some dingle cowards to excuse one of their own pondlife !
