I wouldn't read too much in to this, it seems a lot of people were drawn in the Villa tool who created the Twitter account 'CoventryITK' and are regurgitating what he posted. It seems to be doing the rounds and it shows how easy some internet bloggers/journalists are lured in to a story.

I could be wrong then but I thought I read posts saying that we should go for him but I don't remember saying we had a definate interest in him.

I would love it to happen, but the question is how much will Rochdale want?

Well if we got upwards of 3million for Wilson after him having just 1 year and missed a decent chunk of that injured, you can expect Rochdale to want a decent fee for Hogan, who lets be fair is more provern at this level.

Haven't really watched him but I feel anything over 500k is too much for a player who only has had one good season above conference level

One of those posts on the Rochdale site really hit home how low fans of other teams see us these days,
I quote,"I don't see joining Cov is a step up in my opinion"
That's a Rochdale fan saying this, how horrific is that.

3 million is a gamble for Bournemouth no doubt for a player who has a history of injuries and only one good season under his belt.

Yep, I'd agree with that. Especially in our financial position.

Another manager can't remember his name said Hogan was over valued and the other lad was a bargain

"We've made a fantastic offer to Scott. But unfortunately his agent is asking for more money than any player that I've had would be on, so that's a problem," said Ferguson.

Leeds United have had a bid rejected for Scott Hogan.. No amount noted, with their £31M war chest this summer you'd think they can outspend us.

Brentford have been given permission to speak to him after they had a bid accepted. Doesn't look like he's coming our way.

Graeme Bailey ‏@GraemeBailey 20m Brentford have permission to talk to Rochdale striker Scott Hogan after bid accepted. Leeds still talking.
