Defender set to miss rest of the season

Birmingham boss Alex McLeish has confirmed Scott Dann is unlikely to play again this season because of injury.
As exclusively revealed by skysports.com earlier this weekend Dann was facing an early end to his campaign because of the hamstring problem he sustained in the midweek Carling Cup defeat to West Ham.
The talented defender is now set to undergo surgery on the hamstring injury which is set to rule him out for up to four months.
McLeish admits it is a major blow to lose the central defender as they battle to avoid relegation.
"It will be a long shot for Scott to be back before the end of this season," said McLeish.
"It is not totally confirmed yet but we are going to miss him for a long time and it is a big blow."

Bit of a shame really, he would have got a good reception in the cup i think. Good we don't have to worry about him getting his guaranteed goal against his old team now though, we should win if Carsley and Mcsheffrey get theirs!
