... Because he thinks Brentford have a better chance of promotion!!

Fecking deluded idiot.

It has nothing to do with you wanting to stay in London?

Millwall fans don't like him one bit so a blessing in disguise

Don't underestimate Brentford. Isn't Rostler the manager? I think he has the highest win ratio in the league having moved them up the league last season.

They will do well.

I think it's more our fans delusion that league one will be a walk in the park because they haven't heard of the vast majority of players.

I think if you actually read the article it's more a location thing!!!

They were 6 points off the play offs. They lacked the key ingredient - a goalscorer. Top was Alexander with 12. They should be top half again.

Brentford are dark horses for promotion I think. Myles Weston in particular is a dangerous player.

Clayton Donaldson is the only one I'd take from them. Relegation fodder to be honest. Only thing I would say they hav going for them is Rosler their manager, he might pull them up the table...

Brentfords squad looks far from Promotion standard. But who knows, a good manager can make a bad squad good, and a bad manager can make a good squad bad (Lets hope that isn't the case with Thorn)

I'm sure blackburn, wolves and Bolton fans were saying the same about Norwich, Swansea and QPR's squad this time last season before the season kicked off.

He probably didn't want to sign up for part what means you actually have to win games to get a decent bonus

yes of course - I was referring to the fact that he might not be comfortable with the new bonus structure which doesn't offer rewards for just turning up

Well, I wouldn't want players like that. If you want more money then work for it... That ethic is good with me!

Here is the article

“I spoke to Coventry, but they didn't appeal as much to me as Brentford did. I spoke to a few other clubs as well but I felt this was the best move for me.
“There were a lot of factors. I live in London, which means I don't have to relocate, plus I'm joining a club on the up.
“Brentford are going in the right direction. They have ambition with plans for a new stadium, and they've invested a lot of money in the training ground and the medical department.
“I could've stayed at Millwall but I want to play every week. I'm hoping to get that opportunity at Brentford.
“I want to nail down the left-back spot and repay the gaffer's faith in me for bringing me to the club.”

Reading this is smacks of lack of ambition, the opposite to Barron claims.

They have ambitions for a new stadium, (obviously better than our insignificant offering) - twat.
They have invested a lot of money in training ground (obviously better than our insignificant offering) - twat

The real matters are
I dont want to move because im a shit no hope football player who has found my level. - twat
I wont would never get a regular game at Coventry but Brentford will be no problem. - twat

Thank f##k we never signed the loser.

The idea that not moving to Coventry constitutes a lack of ambition = arrogance in my opinion.

People are vastly underestimating Brentford, they'll be there or thereabouts.

Are people criticising Brentford's squad because they don't recognise the names or because they've actually seen them play and don't rate them? I think our squad is slightly better but not a huge amount better as seems to be the suggestion. And he's right when he says Brentford are on the up while we are on a downward spiral that we may or may not come out of. He also thinks he'll be first choice there, whereas here he'll be fighting Hussey/Kilbane for his place. He gives perfectly sensible reasons for choosing Brentford over us so I don't see the reason to slag him off.

Barron, whilst Hussey was at CCFC, was never going to start for us anyway (whose better is debatable but Thorn likes Hussey) and was probably going to be back-up to CH. Him saying he rejected us says to me that Hussey wasn't leaving us (for Millwall anyway).

He probably chose Brentford over us because of A) he doesn't have to move, B) Brentford don't really have a LB and C) (because of B) he's guaranteed to start Brentford.

I agree with you, I think we will finish above them, but people seem to think he's joined a pub team ahead of joining us.

As for the better chance of promotion, he's obviously going to talk up the club he's just joined, it's not a surprise.

I've now read the full article. Nowhere does he say he thinks Brentford are a better bet for promotion than us. The only mention of Coventry is when he mentions having talks with us but us not appealing as much as Brentford did.

I know a couple of Millwall fans and they dont rate him at all. dont think he would have made a vast improvement to our squad, let alone first team.
