Only two Scottish team members play in the Premiership! What happened to all the great Scottish players? Dalglish, Bremner, Gray, Johnstone. Seems like the supply has dried up. I blame all the foreigners in the Premiership, no room for Scottish players now.

Was Webster playing in both Centre Half positions for the first goal?

No he won't - and never does IMHO. Don't rate him and get fed-up with the hype that surrounds him.

Give the Guy a break! Six goals from the last six Internationals, can't be argued about, last night He had a game of real commitment, as did all the players on the field, A good ninety minutes of entertainment, and a result that matched.
Well played England,

Rooney's not been the megastar tearing up tournaments, but then that hype was always overboard - he was still playing for England after all. Can't really knock his recent form though.

I'd love to see Rooney's record outside tournaments. Must be immense.

Worthy of taking over Charltons record though? It's alright doing it in friendly games but not when it matters?

Excellent, really enjoyed that match last night. Best England game for an age, sometimes I can't even be bothered to watch some of the meaningless friendly games on TV but it was cracking entertainment and all the more so for the look on Graham 'Sour' Souness' face afterwards !
Respect to the England fans, they were loud and proud............loved the' cheer up Gordon Strachan' song !

Ha, I saw Souness afterwards, it was hilarious. Especially when he said 'I'm not a bitter scotsman'. Erm you quite clearly are.

Have to agree, was the best England game I've seen in quite some time.

Strachan must hate that 'cheer up' song. Seems to follow him everywhere!

Wasn't going to watch the game last night but happily I ended up doing so. Best England performance for a long while. Class or two above Scotland, although the Scots goal was a good one.

England didn't give an inch and pressured Scotland all over the pitch in to making errors. England's passing and ball retention was far better than the opponents and at a tempo you don't usually see from them. Certainly Scotland were up for it but they were matched in that aspect by a classier England team

A thoroughly deserved win

England's performances at Wembley of late almost echo City's performances at the Ricoh. Both grounds way too quiet when empty or 1/3rd full. Last night was highly charged and the players responded fantastically !

He's already the top ever England scorer in competitive games, albeit the quality is usually pretty poor with the likes of San Marino and Andorra

He has scored an a lot of goals in qualifiers which count as important.

Messi has never turned up at major tournaments, but he'll be considered a great I'm his country.

That said....our qualifying group is an absolute piece of piss & contains rubbish like San Marino & Estonia.....

....And we just beat the bitter whipping boys last night....

Many Impressive performances last night, young Cline, Wilshire ,OX ,Rooney and I particularly like the Striker Wellbeck Is turning Into since his ejection from UTD.

That has to be one of the best England away games I've attended in years. 5K fans none stop. A small town in England didn't go down to well with the jocks. I had 3-1 as well. Down side a detour around the ground after 30 mins stay back in the ground.and then a 2 mile walk back to Glasgow Central .

We're all really naughty apparently for showing our displeasure towards terrorist actions. No different to any other away game I've been to though and it's never been an issue before. The pyro display at the start was superb. The minutes applause seemed to be done by most. Shame it couldn't be a silence but it would always be difficult to do as you can imagine.

Loads of Cov lads with us too. Started by getting our tickets which was really easy. Couldn't believe how the FA actually managed to organise a simple exercise. They usually struggle with such things. Went to the Bar Square, Crystal Palace Spoons, West Brewery and then the Walkers Rangers bar which was quality. Was a bit dicey walking from there up the London Road towards the ground on my todd. Had to dodge a few airborne bricks when I went past the Council Estate but nothing too bad. I know a couple of others that faced it too. Did you have any problems?

Too right. His international record overall is better than Cristiano's and his tourney record is better than Greeves.

We never get a low crowd though really. Even the all time low against Norway was only beaten by France v Spain that week. Every other time our crowds are the highest by long way.

Agree about the noise. It's dreadful. Can hear a pin drop in Luton. So many of my mates have given up and don't bother going any more.
