Entertaining 1st half where we had the majority of chances 2nd half not so good but the referee did help to make sure it wasn't
RCC 7- dealt with everything thrown at him good handling
Page 6- good 1st half never noticed him so much 2nd half put a quality ball in that Rose just headed wide
Willis 7- Good all round game today and great to see him last 90 minutes too
Ricketts 4- very poor today, their young striker beat him to everything, his passes out of defence were mis aimed as well..
Harries 7- I have been a big critic of his but today I thought he was excellent, passed the ball very well great timed tackles as well, I thought he would be a liability but that looks to be Ricketts
Rose 7- Again found lots of space for himself, just wish he could provide a little more to the strikers but I guess he is still somewhat adjusting to our football here, unlucky with a 1st half header
Ghadzev 6- Didn't have such a good game today, even seen him misplace a pass or 2
Stevenson 6- again same as Ghadzev
Lameiras 6- In and out of the game 1st half then almost disappeared 2nd half..lads got so much talent but only shows it in very small patches
Reid 8- Our starman today, not sure he is much of a goal scorer almost every shot I have seen him have goes flying into row z but he certainly brings something, ran at their defence and unfortunately chose the wrong options but he looks a decent player
Jones 6- Ran about a lot tried to do too much and kept losing the ball usually dragged 2 men over to mark him but he needs to let go of the ball earlier to take advantage

Tudgay 6- Came on and ran about a bit
Spence 6- Looked positive and ran at them, would like to see him get a bit more game time to see how he fares in the league
K Thomas 6- came on touched the ball 4 times fell over 4 times and never got up from the last fall, went off on a stretcher

Don't really know about scores but thought we were ok today. Very good first half and faded in the second half but there are encouraging signs. Get some players over the line and we should hopefully look strong.

Yeah, would say that is pretty much spot on, apart from Ricketts, who I would have as a 5.5 - 6.

I know Reid got MOTM, but he is incredibly wasteful in good positions. Maybe what rival fans say about him is indeed true.

Does all the hard work and then his shooting is all over the place.

He did put a couple of good balls into the box, but his shooting was poor.

I thought Stevenson outshone Ghadzev. Rose was our best goal threat, but Shrewsbury cleverly pushed a bit higher up the pitch second half and this pinned Rose back, nullifying his threat.

Thought Spence looked a real bag of tricks when he came on.

Jones was clearly carrying an injury.

What frustrated me first half was when we broke the front 3 made their runs wide & not through the middle Shrewsbury were there for the taking with that ball as they were high up.
Rose made the run once but was offside.

Very frustrating game in the whole.

Thought they targeted Harries 2nd half & a more physical forward will cause a lot of problems for him, like the kid but too lightweight & looks a weak link oppo will target did alright today dealing with it but we were lucky Shrewsbury didnt fancy scoring as much as us.

Rose made some clever runs I thought, there was one from a throw where he caught their defence off guard from behind (cheeky)

From the 2 games this week he's played that role he certainly knows what he's doing there!

I am hoping there are going to be 4 teams worse than us. We have no teeth at all up front and physically I fear we will be left seriously wanting especially when the dim winter weather turns up. From what I witnessed today we need a big burley centre-forward, a tough guy midfielder and a centre half, immediately.

Rcc 7 good at crosses today, and some good throws out poor handling from shots and god knows what happened in the last min
Willis 7 solid
Ricketts 6 doesn't look as fit as last season but would worry about defence without him there at the moment as he the only one you can hear communicating
Harries 7 I like this kid, great on the ball
Stevenson 7 ok but much quieter than the other night, one dodgy pass to Tony he got away with
Vlad 7 not as controlled as the other night looked tired second half
Page 6 OK but I expecting more
Rose 8 motm great first half
Jones 5 worst I've seen him play
Lamerias 6 he's not going to score or assist enough goals to warrant a starting place
Reid 7 should have scored from that corner when blasted over

Tudgay 6
Spence 7
Thomas 5

Have to say Spence didn't particularly impress me. Ran around a bit and tried to run with the ball but too often ran down blind alleys and didn't seem to have much awareness.

To be quite honest I was pleasantly surprised to see that we have quite a few excellent prospects and if we have a club at the season end those kids are going to be worth a lot of money. Stevenson I kept looking and thinking it was MAddison that can play football and stay on his feet.

That's the big problem with the majority of our attackers, Lamieres, Reid, Jones like to drop and go wide to get more time on the ball to turn and run at people, even tudguy likes to drop. We got ybe ball out wide a few times and were reliant on rose at wing back to get in on the end of things. George Thomas for all his faults at least makes those forward runs, which is why he gets in those positions to miss chances.

Giving Ricketts a 4 was absurd. He marshalled a rookie back 3 and Christ knows where we would have been without him.

Surprised about the high rose scores

Thought he did okay first half , but was shit second half, he hardly had a touch.

Harries very good all game, the west ham lad looked decent too.

Reid , well he was just reid, after seeing glory last season, he today , gate exactly the performance that he will give all season, so do not expect anything more
I said last year, and again when we were on verge of signing , he will not create a thing, will look good doing exactly nothing during a game.

Lameiras was good for first 20 minutes then disappeared , was very surprised when jones went off beforehand .

Trouble with the front 3 all game is , they all looked like they didn't really have a clue where they were meant to be playing , switching sides every 10 minutes can't be great for the player

Jones was carrying an injury.

I'd didn't think Rose was terrible second half, just that he didn't do anything and that was because their fullback played a lot higher line and nullified Rose going forwards so much.

Jones was not so much carrying an injury as feeling the effects of missing the last 3 weeks of pre season. We've had 3 games in 8 days the middle of which went to extra time. The team is very young and learning the game so need a few more old heads around them.
McCann is available from the next game and hopefully others will follow
I felt today if we had scored early other goals would have followed

Been waiting for weeks now, seasons started you know and as you know any players we seem to sign are never match fit when we get them

Clearly had an injury. Both Clive Eakin and Dele Adebola alluded to it and he was limping a bit at times during the game.

It's more soreness than an injury. He had to take a few hard challenges and had his achilles raked early in the first half. It's men's football which all young players must learn

RCC - 6 - was excellent on crosses but a couple of errors, didn't have much to do really
Willis - 6 - solid enough
Ricketts - 6 - as above
Harries - 7 - won pretty much everything in the air, good on the ball
Rose - 7 - constant threat going forwards in the first half, unlucky not to score
Page - 7 - looks promising, good cross on him
Stevenson - 6 - started very well, a few poor passes second half, definite potential
Ghadzev - 7 - very comfortable on the ball, plays so many clever passes between the lines
Reid, Lameiras and Jones - 6 - some promising runs from all three but they never looked like scoring and never looked like getting in behind a la Armstrong.

Thought Harries was very good, I know we were all worried abut him physically but doesn't seem to be a problem so far. Harries dominated aerially today

RCC 6 Quiet afternoon, mostly calm and assured, one flap in the 2nd half.
Willis 7 Steady, good to have him back
Ricketts 6 Looked solid in the first half, a bit ragged in the 2nd. Age catching up on him possibly?...
Harries 6 Looks like a great prospect, needs to bulk up.
Rose 6 Good energy but never looked like creating anything
Gahzdev (still can't spell it) 7 Got stuck in, good composure on the ball.
Stevenson 7 Really impressed. Got himself into trouble at times but always batted to win it back (and usually did so) and will only get better. Always wanted the ball. Technically good
Page 6 Underwhelming. Offered nothing more than Haynes would have done.
Jones 7 Our most likely match winner in the first half but frustrating at the same time
Lameiras 5 Lightweight, not sure how he justified a start. Especially up front.
Reid 7 You can see the potential, looking fwd to seeing him when fit.

Tudgay 4 I'm a fan of his but he was fucking useless yesterday. Gave the ball away at every opportunity.
K Thomas n/a not on long enough.
Spence 7 Another great prospect, gave us a spark.

Thought the whole team done well really. Stevenson MOTM for me, broke up the play, intercepted a couple of key balls, distributed the ball well, Only thing I can think of he done wrong was that dodgy pass to Ricketts or Willis that nearly cost us. I think we have a potential star on our hands with him.
