Best performance ive seen from EMC, in a city shirt.
Now hes set the standard, weve all seen what he is capable of, we need to see it every week.

MvE did very well considering hes still clearly suffering from his recent illness.

Rudoni still worryingly below his normal high standards.

Sakamoto was quit second half (by his standards)

Grimes was quality as usual.

Simms and Wright badly need a goal.

EMC a level above. They were terrified of him.

Grimes and Kitching very good.

Not a vintage performance, and not a particularly enjoyable game to watch, but who cares.

Swansea looked very good in the first half, but had no cutting edge.

Eccles has really grew on me this seaosn , hated where he was playing but recently really started to appreciate him in that more advanced role

Possibly, but today he was the full package for the full 90 mins. Thats something weve rarely ever seen from him.

I Liked how he got a standing ovation when he went off on 90 mins, nice touch.

Torp and EMC outstanding today. Special mention for Eccles when he came on. Bidwell is actually getting quite sad to watch.

EMC the stand out. Confirmation elsewhere that whenever possible we need to start Wright and Brau. Torp technically good but showed the lack of pace that means he’s a very good champ player. Rushworth excellent. Grimes superb. Defence again got away with a couple.

It seems clear that Lampard doesn't trust Brau enough defensively to play left back, even for a few minutes for a tiring Bidwell, nevermind from the start.

Then we have a problem. Swansea obviously targeted Bidwell and he was ponderous and stiff. Going forward he needed an age to set himself to deliver dross.

Frank needs to put an arm around Rudi and tell him to play it simple while he finds fitness and form too. He’s trying to do far too much and it’s having the opposite impact.

A lot of people have been saying Jake is no longer at level. I was reluctant to agree but even I noticed today. A model professional and still person to fill in within squad but no longer fitting our profile.

Give it your best Jake for next 6 months and total respect to you, no one will forget your Leeds at home header to save a goal !

Yeah a bit like Dabo towards the end, I’d always rather remember players at their peak than see good pros struggle. He’s more than done his bit in getting us where we are.

We are incredibly fortunate to have 4 top Championship midfielders , this is allowing Lampard to manage Rudonis minutes while he finds his form and fitness again .
EMC man of the match today , at times there were 3 players marking him and he still made space and chances
Sakamoto also very good today

I thought he managed a very tricky winger with ease today , he's never had a lot of pace but positions himself well and times his tackles well

He’s an old school LB and Dasilva very much isn’t so it’s always going to be hard for him. Unless we can find a PL ready LB in Jan (unlikely) it’s him or Brau when Jay isn’t available though. I still feel 5ATB with Brau is preferable.

Grimes was immense today.
It's just becoming the norm now, something Lampard alluded to in his post match interview.

He didn't make an obvious error but was the cause of all our problems in the first half because he has no idea where to be positionally. Was constantly getting dragged to the touchline and they were able to pop it between the lines so easily because he left acres of space inside every time. Offered nothing going forward either.

1. We badly need an inform Rudoni to unpick defences. Signs today but still a bit off the pace.

2. EMC is an utter beast when the mood takes him.

3. Unlike others above I thought today showed the limitations of Grimes. He's not a gamechanger

4. Torp carried the midfield today. Pleased he got the full 90 minute gig. Tackles, links up, breaks from deep. He's not Prem standard but still very good

5. Even though neither Wright nor Simms had the service nor did they look much of a threat anyway. The attack EMC excepted was a bit powder puff.
