Reading through my PMs from years back. Was called a scab a few times because me and the old man went Northampton and supported through the dark days.. As we're still under Sisu ownership and people have ignored NOPM and stopped singing we want Sisu out, does it still count?

Removes the pin out of hand grenade,, rolls it into the room, closes the door and counts down from 10.

I ignored the twats trying to intimidate fans and their families on the way in. Most of NOPM were people who didn't go much anyway

I watched a number of games on Jimmy’s Hill…. But I never went in. I did though respect the rights of people to go in and certainly never saw them as scabs. Basically Cov fans like me wanting to watch their team…..just with a different way of showing they didn’t agree with the decision. Let’s face it… nobody supported the decision regardless of whether you went in or not!!! We have moved on so far from then…it doesn’t even feel like the same club anymore.

We appear to now be being managed pretty well…. The football is class…. NOPM should be dead in the water… if you aren’t aboard the journey we are on now… you probably never were aboard the Sky Blue ship at any time!!

I did Northampton three games. I still regret it. The last game was when Dele Alli scored from near enough the byline. Each to their own but I shouldn't have went.

The scab insult went round and I was called one. The season after at Bradford away some bloke told me I was the reason why we were still there, which I thought was a bit simplistic but that stung.

Another away game, a pissed up lad who goes on our coach playfully grabbed me and asked if I go Northampton. I lied and said no, I couldent be arsed with the hassle.

So yeah, in short it was a horrible time to support CCFC.

Why do you regret it? I've got good memories up there, Callum Wilson and Leon Clarke. Better than sat at home wanking off, crying and eating peperamis.

I went to most games in Northampton and stood on the hill. I didn't see any of those going in getting abuse. However we did receive some once from someone leaving the ground early while we were still looking at the bit of the pitch we could see. This guy objected to us being there and told us so in no uncertain terms.

I went to the majority of Northampton games. Like everyone else in the stadium, didn't want to be there, but was just supporting the team, in the face of what where terrible off-the-field circumstances, and nobody really knew what was going on.

Perfectly happy to lay the blame for playing there at SISU's door, but given what we now know about CCC, who were given a free pass at the time, it was obviously a total shambles all round.

I was the guy involved in the "trouble" after the Brentford game... It wasn't the first occasion there had been provocation, and i thought that people up on the hill shouting "scab" etc at what were mostly families attending, were bang out of order, and made my feelings known, which escalated.

Was rather a shameful episode on my part, as well as the 4 guys who rounded on me.

I've never seen them home or away since. I like to think i'd just forget about it if i ever saw them at a game now. I don't think people should just be able to justify their comments and actions by saying "well it was in the past"..... but they were dark days and nothing really to be achieved by raking it all up again.

Me too Steve. Even though it was a 300 mile round trip.

Team not regime-I like that and it’s exactly why I went to Northampton and Stans.

Went to support my team-the irony is that I really didn’t get vexed about people who decided not to go. Their choice-their decision.

My lad had a couple of seasons under his belt (took him at 3yrs, now 14) and I couldn't compromise not watching live football and for him not to see his heroes.Ironically, living next to Silverstone made it easy to get to..St Andrews was a pain although Spotted Dog pub was great, nothing like home though, all back in tge same seats with exactly the same faces around us when the stadium opened.

I went once. It was a dreadful experience. A shit ground, miserly attendance, zero atmosphere and worst of all Tim Fisher’s piss splashed on my hand when stood next to him at the urinal.

Just commenting on a thread really. Definitely not expecting people to all agree with me on such a divisive issue... just saying as i saw it.

Yes it was a poor experience. Despite only being 10-15 mins walk from the station, it really felt an out-of-town venue.... just that chain pub on the retail park. Poor crowds.

Some of the football was brilliant though.

I was in the Scab Club too, so you're in good company. Look at it as a badge of dishonour.
