I can understand why some people would feel so passionate about trying to make it work. What I struggle with us why would someone feel passionate about trying to be-little fans who want to make a difference.
Sit in your armchair and eat pizza like me if you don't have the balls to do anything. However don't attack those who do.

Accusations of threats of violence are pretty serious. I hope psgm1 can back that up, otherwise he (and Sky Blue Talk) lays himself open to libel action.

Just got an email from someone within this group attempting to stop me spreading the truth about SkyBlues Trust claiming factual errors - despite the fact No errors were mentioned!

I stand by what I said earlier. You cannot claim your plan is last resort, when you also say you are looking for investors - by definition if its last resort no investors are available!

I stated the FACT the club has equitised £50-60 mill in debts - this would be owed in any takeover! So is the trust going to pick up the tab?

No mention of funding the ricoh, no mention of funding buying of players - these are fundamental aspects.

They get aggressive with anyone who shows up the flaws in their plans. Pompey is relying totally on :

a) Local businesses being prepared to accept 2% on the debts (I remember the fury at leeds when they offered 2% to creditors), and
b) The current owner being forced to sell for £2.75 million (currently asking £16 mill)
c) Developers funding the buyout and the club selling the ground to the developers
d) Getting permission to remove the Listed Building status from the ground.

This information has been quoted by the BBC, so unless they have a hidden agenda against Pompey are facts!

As Cov don't own the ground or land, the option to sell to developers is not available.

Therefore the ONLY way this could work, is for administrators allowing this group to take over the club for £1 and accept the debt (currently £60 mill). As the sole creditor is SiSU I find it almost impossible that they would accept 2%, so an average of 10-20% restructured debt (meaning the groups would have to finance a loan of £5-10 million) - This is before you start with running costs!

The rent as we all now is £100k/month - So I assume they will be expecting a reduction in rent. As ACL are fairly dependant on matchday revenue, I hardly think there is scope for much compromise.

The more you look into it, the more ridiculous their plan becomes! Sure it would be nice for fans to own the stadium, but it would be nice to win the lottery also!

All in all an absolute minimum they will have to find is £10 mill, and considering neither Pompey or swansea (both used of examples of this scheme "working") didn't get anywhere near that figure (Pompey claim £2mill - hence they want stadium for 2.75mill), and swansea achieved £100k

Good luck in getting £10mill from 700 members - (at just under £1500 per member!)

BTW Having members of your group threaten physical violence and making abusive attacks isn't going to win many people over is it!

You are, of course, right. Sisu have made it almost impossible for anyone to take over the Club. That is part of their plan. Weaken and destroy ACL and make it impossible for ACL to get back its rent, make it impossible for anyone else to take over and emerge, they plan, as owners of everything which they can then put in hock to fund schemes elsewhere in the world.

If Sisu/Fisher were honest, which they are clearly not, the SBT initiative could be the way in which Sisu/Fisher could include the fan ownership they keep saying they want to see.
If or when Sisu/Fisher finally kill the Club, SBT could well be the ones to spearhead a phoenix club from the ashes left by Seppala and Fisher.

I hope that fatty Clarke is paying you well to attack SBT, attack OSB and anyone else who opens up just what Seppala and Fisher are doing.

If anyone is threatening you with any sort of violence then it should be reported to the Police with evidence to back you up. Otherwise, as Waldorf points out above, you are leaving yourself wide open to a charge of libel. Expensive! :thinking about:

psgm1 - the Sky Blue Trust is a democratic, transparent and accountable organisation, a legally registered Provident Society and we take such accusations very seriously. If any member has threatened you either verbally or physically we condemn such action without reservation - I would ask you to please send me all the relevant documents either via PM here or via the Trust e-mail at skybluetrust@gmail.com and we will review them and take the appropriate actions.

If psgm1 doesn't come up with a name or names, who i assume are SBT members, of anybody threatening violence then i hope the sky blue trust take the apropriate action about such slurs against it's name. As for the question SBT-whats the point ! I suspect there were Swansea City fans saying the same 9 years ago, a club saved by their supporters trust and look at them now.

The only way this club will survive is through success on the pitch and a long drawn out process of debt reduction. The fans need to back the club with everything they can afford and hope the owners make the right decisions to enable our debts do not grow any further and begin to drop due to increased revenue. This year so far we have had five extra home games and the lucrative away trip to the Emirates. The club must have made an extra £350,000 that wasn't budgeted for..........and that's with another money spinner away at White Hart Lane to come, plus at least one more JPT game. This is the only way forward for CCFC ultimately.
