As I pointed out on other threads, it qualifies the vendetta some posters have against Godden excellently.

The recent revelations of Grendel's bizarre claims of hard core drinking make the nonsense a little more logical - calling for a taxi for Robins after knocking back 15 pints at half time and not knowing what planet he's on or even which team is playing in Sky Blue is somehow more comforting than a maniac doing the same thing stone cold sober.
And no one in history could be more deserving of such recognition!
