SBT Meeting with Football League (1 Viewer)

A question for SBT to ask the Football League:

It is my/our understanding that when a Football Club files its accounts at Companies House it also have to provide assurances to the Football League guaranteeing to finance the Club for the entire following season to ensure that the Club fulfils its fixtures and responsibilities to the Football League Competition.

Given the fact that IMMEDIATLEY following filing of the Accounts for the year 2010/11 and giving the Football League those assurances SISU failed to make any payment of Rent to ACL Ltd and continued to fail to pay rent throughout the season, effectively breaching the Contract for the use of the Stadium.

The intention for this appears to have been to drive ACL in to Administration/Liquidation in order for them to acquire the Ricoh Arena on the cheap.

Also, by the very action in placing the Football Club into Administration during the Season breaches the directive given to The Football League to finance the Club as required.

Therefore, given this action SISU have deliberately attempted to deceive The Football League by making the Financial Assurance and then making no attempt to meet it's responsibilities on behalf of the Club and make the required Stadium rental payments.

Notwithstanding that SISU and it's associated Companies (Otium Ltd, Sky Blue Sports & Leisure Ltd and CCFC Holdings Ltd) have consistently failed to meet it's legal obligation to file their respective Annual Accounts on time, How can the Football League give any credibility to SISU/Otium
(in whatever guise) to deliver on it's promise to return the Club to a new Stadium in Coventry?

It also needs to be re-iterated to the Football League that amongst any number of other false and broken promises that have been made if SISU had purchased the Alan Higgs Trust share of the Ricoh Arena as promised when they took over the Club, Coventry City would not
be in this mess in the first place.

Coventry City DO NOT have to move from the Ricoh Arena and SISU/Otium are not 'FIT & PROPER' persons/organisations to act as custodians of our Football Club.

Bre, you are quite correct.

It is CCFC's responsibility to pay the rent to ACL.

As SISU own CCFC they have to guarantee that they will finance the Club to meet it's commitments.

By not paying the rent to ACL, SISU by there action, have breached their agreement in making sure that their financial obligations have not been met.

The mere fact that the Club was placed by themselves in to Administration declares that the finance was not in place for them to fund the Club to the
end of the season.

We all know that the Hedge Fund has the finances available at some point to more than pay its way.

The principle of the matter is, that by their action SISU breached the requirement to the Football League to manage its business in accordance to its rules.
