See previous post. It may be in our constitution. It may not. If it is it may be due to the type of organisation we are. I feel it’s an antiquated system. I will ask to see if there is another way of doing it.

I said I’d have to check. Members vote on things online through email, through software or a site. It’s just the board elections I’m not sure about.

Email isn't a valid way to vote, especially if an email doesnt reach you.

Neither are polls where you can vote multiple times.

It needs to be linked to a trust member, once they make a choice that's that for that member. No going on their phone to do it again.

Also as many football boards can have trust representatives surely you can have a board member that represents the views of the biggest fans forum - Sky Blue Talk

A sub forum dedicated to the trust could be created and the elected member can then take questions from the forum and relay this at board meetings

Likewise information from the trust can be communicated back

There is no law at all that prevents this. It’s democracy in action

I’m sure Nick would allow elections to take place in here and monitor the results and declare the outright winner for election.

Good idea. Any member of the Trust can put themselves forward for election. If you are one feel free to put yourself forward. That goes for anyone else on here. The nomination forms will be available soon for the upcoming election.

What’s the issue with email? When that method has been used each message is checked to ensure it belongs to a Trust member and to ensure that address has only been used once. Do you know of any software/programs that we could use where a member could log in and select a certain option for votes?

What if an email doesnt reach you? Theres also a chance of human error trying to look at so much data.

Yeah it's just a simple web script that talks to your member database. You can do it in joomla which your site uses

To be on our board you need to be a Trust member and have two other Trust members sign your application. If you are one (or anyone else is) do just that and I’m sure we could create that roll. It’s a good idea.

I think he makes a good point. To be able to elect one of our fellow members onto the board from here would be good. We couldn't moan about not being heard any more and would open up communication.

The biggest mystery of the day other than why our own fans don’t give a feck is who was the bloke I saw walking across Tesco car park in a Wasps top and a City scarf. Who was he... why wasn’t he at the statue, did he go to the game....and basically... WTF!!!

Maybe he was just a Wasps fan trying to show some support. There are a few of us around that feel that way.

Fair point.

It was quite refreshing to see Wasps fans with sympathy for our plight.

Fair play to whoever the PSB Group are for trying, but realistically nothing good will come out of meeting Nick Eastwood.

It's pretty obvious what will happen. He will say some nice things about how he wants the football club to stay but the owners are just completely unreasonable and you can't work with them. PSB Group will offer Wasps sympathy, saying how welcoming and refreshing it is and loads of people will start tweeting 'NEVER GOIN AGEN UNTIL SISU LEAVE! #SISUOUT' . It's the easiest bit of PR going and it will be hilarious/depressing in equal measure watching it happen.

It's odd how the individuals heading up this group don't see that. It might sound a tad harsh but either they're not particularly bright or are completely gullible - or perhaps a bit of both. Like you said this is perfect PR potential that has effectively fallen into Nick Eastwood's lap; and without realising it, the PSB Group are actually doing more harm than good by pushing for such a meeting to take place. I can only see this causing further division amongst our fans, if that's even possible.

Like you said Eastwood will tell them exactly what they want to hear - i'm sure "the ball is in SISU's court" line will be used, probably more than once. By appearing cooperative and not so subtly depicting Wasps as the victim and SISU as the pantomime villain, Eastwood will be able to push his agenda with complete ease.

I often wonder why people feel the need to announce they've been invited to meet people.

Just meet people, make your judgement on them, but don't waste time saying 'GUESS WHO I'M MEETING SOON OMG'

They've all done it over the years - McGinnity, Robinson, Labovitch, Hoffman, Elliott... you name it, they've all decided a bit of personal attention is the way to change peoples' direction. By all means meet them, challenge them... but don't sodding do it because it makes you feel important and do their dirty work for them!

He/them will feel important for a bit then go back to default, it's all sisu's fault.
I don't think any fans group should meet any of them until they begin to offer more than just lip service.

"Hi there. Attended "protest" last week. Great that you are meeting Nick Eastwood. Personally, and I know many share this view, it MUST be communicated to him that much of the good will afforded to Wasps from the people of coventry would be severely affected if Wasps cannot come to a deal to keep our city's football club at the ground built for it. Also might be worth asking if Wasps knew what they were getting into when dealing with Coventry City Council. If you are meeting him, some pressure must be applied. Not a nicey nicey meeting. This could be so important!! You can't come out of it as part of another anti SISU PR campaign as all parties need to be pushed on this and this is a great opportunity to pass on views that Wasps are a part of this. Good luck. Paul

Just posted the above on the group chat set up by PSB group last week.....

I’d love to know who went into the wasps match after the demo? A cricket bat between there legs along with being named and shamed would be about a just reward.

There seemed to be 1 person from PSB there Saturday and no one I spoke to went in to the wasps game.

Frankly I feel the reporting and the focus on the Eastwood meeting has devalued the protest which was made very largely by members of this forum. The small number who did attend were a credit to the ccfc support

I was half flippant but, the more this goes on, the more I feel I may just have to write to the Telegraph as their source checking is, well... non-existent.
