Playing and managing/coaching are different disciplines or Wayne Rooney would have been a rip-roaring success.

It was Mounts second loan, Wilson’s 3rd, Tomoris 3rd and he’s using it as some sort of gotcha

this has more similarities with the aderamola loan

Even Lee Sawyer had scored a senior goal to be fair

He's doing really well this season but wasn't ready for the championship, he went to Blackburn straight after us and the same experience, so it wasn't us using him badly.

Yeah this is a big no for me. We don't need youngsters on loan, and if we do they need to have had at least one previous loan.

Unless this kid is going to be playing every week and will transform the side, I’d rather be investing our time and money in our own young midfielders.

I’d back Lampard to spot a midfielder over anyone on this forum.

Some are hits, some are misses that’s the game you play with a loan deal

The lads clearly got talent you don’t be at Chelsea if you are shit

I’d only be signing this lad if we have the opportunity to buy, or at the very least be guaranteed to get him next season for a year if he does well in this 6 months

I’ve said before on this thread till I’m red in the face

Collins and Dasilva when they were younger were probably in the Top 1% of footballers their age, hence why they started off at Chelsea

Sometimes players have bags of potential but do not develop, it’s not a hard concept to grasp

Maatsen had played 35 games in league one before joining us. It's not about the league it's about actually going and playing men's football.

Hits
Maatsen had a previous loan spell
Doyle had had a previous loan spell
McNally had played a lot of first team games
Gyokeres had previous loan spell
BNC had a previous loan spell
Ostegard had a previous loan spell
JCS had lots of previous experience
Panzo lots of previous experienc
Binks had previous loan spells

Misses
Adamarola - never had a loan wasn't ready
Ayari - never had a loan wasn't ready
JWE - never had a loan wasn't ready

The Lampard Derby loans keep getting held up as a good example
Wilson 2 previous loan spell
Mount had previous loan spell
Tomori had a previous loan spell.

Ayari clearly was ready, not even one year down the line he was starting for his country and playing regularly in the Premier League for Brighton

Wilson-Esbrand was completely fine but wasn’t utilised, he should have been brought on over Dabo in the play-off final

So why did Ayari have an identical experience at Blackburn? Sometimes a summer can do wonders, think back to Callum Wilson and Viktor Gyokeres.

Wilson-Esbrand was a pretty poor loan, he had limited impact, starting just 5 out of 22 games, and unused sub for 8, and not trusted in the big games.

Got to be honest I thought they used him and successfully for what they needed, willing to have that opinion changed if that's a misconception?

It's probably Lampard scraping the barrel with £0 in the coffers because the club's spunked all the cash on shite players who want out

So are we pinning all our season hopes on a 19 yr old untried in the championship player? Just like we expected Sheaf to lift us up high and what most are hoping will happen when Haji comes back. Delusional

To be fair, let’s assume this is a swap of wages for Kai. That for me still means we could easily look at another CM.

Could be a good option for us. Would worry though if this is it as need some experience in CM imo.

Completely pointless move if so. If Lampard wants to develop Chelsea’s kids instead of our own then I’m sure they’d find a job for him there.

Depends on where he is at this point of his development. Willing to give him a shot although do have misgivings after Yasin Ayari (brilliant player just too soon).

Chelsea supporting friend says he's brilliant talent and not looked out of place in conference league side.

However championship is prob harder than majority of teams he's played in that though

Looks like he'd be decent though and the right talent could transform out midfield.

How it happens maybe with a view to a 1.5 year loan stint with us?

Tbf he's only played 105 mins in the Conference league qualifiers.

11 mins Vs FC Noah (8-0) - Armenian Premier League
1 min Vs Heidenhain (2-0) - Bundesliga
86 mins Vs FC Astana (3-1) - Kasakzstan Premier League
7 mins Vs Shamrock Rovers (5-1) - League of Ireland

I wouldn't be against it if it was a loan with the view to a permanent or a 1.5 year loan, but not just this season.

Depends. What if he's talented enough to spur this team on to a run that gets us in playoff contention?

After all we were not a million miles away from winning our last 3 games
