Looks like a class signing!

Calm, good decision making, good reading of the game, just what we needed I think. Particularly alongside Johnson who can be a bit rash, I think they could be a perfect pairing.

Also gave lots of instruction and guidance to some of the other players.

Very very impressed.

Yes all 14 who took part seem'd to understand the fluid ever changing formation. Great credit to 'Mogga' his Skipper and MOTM 'Arma'! PUSB

Just think about the difference between Ricketts today and Webster.

Seemed a good leader of the side and was in the right place every time.

He was immense, nothing got past the 2 cb's today. And to think we had Martin and Webster pairing up together at cb last year...most organised looking side I've seen in ages

My MOTM the way he reads the game & held the line with the other 3 was superb seemed to make it easy for the fullbacks to know where the line was, one of the best performances by a City back 4 I've seen in years! They were like a rock yday keeping Wigan to 30 yard potshots.

Commanding from the back, covering when he needed to, good understanding with Reda who was equally as solid (although some of his passes were still very wayward as they were last season).

As mentioned above, if both can stay fit, there's unlikely to be a more solid pairing in this division.

Yh Reda needs to chill out on te aimless hoofs and RV or Fleck need to make themselves available for a simple ball and to push forward to set the 4 musketeers off on the attack!

The defence were great to watch no nonsense tackle and get the ball away. The first time I have been at a game where I was not nervous at the end of a match. So refreshing

Agreed, looked calm and seems to read the game well, reminds me of Peake and Killer with him and Reda at the back, just hope they stay fit.

Both had good games ! The only thing that might play against them is if 2 strikers have pace against them like Armstrongs! They may get caught out. But I'm sure the clever enough to drop a little deeper etc. great team performance yesterday though
