Bit of a random one, but I was looking at a few Chelsea youngsters - with the Viveash connection.

Came across Sam McClelland who just did a full season in league 2 at Barrow. Just released by Chelsea, 21 y/o, 6 foot 3 CB, played in the middle of back 3, Northern Ireland international.

Seems like could be a decent option as 4/5th CB, someone for the future.

I doubt he knows Viveash given Viveash has been at Cov since 2017 and looked after Chelsea under 21s from 2015-2017.

Surely he won’t have been there during AV’s time.

Just to clarify, I'm not saying there's a direct connection between Viveash and the player, but that Viveash clearly has contacts at Chelsea.

Seems to hit the key point targets, height, age and position. But if he's just been released by Chelsea and there are no comments from Barrow about picking him up on a free, makes you think what Barrow didn't like about him ??!! Or was it just the wages ?

Barrow fans as a whole appear to like him a lot, and many want a permanent signing. Nothing from the clubs end though, so could well be wages, or maybe he think he can go higher?

I’ve been to Barrow. He can definitely do better.

Seems alright though Barrow finished 22nd. Reckon he'd only be decent as a squad player, highly doubt he's anywhere close to Championship ready.

Remember when McNulty scored all those goals for us in L2 to end up being in the reserves for Reading?

L2 players are very rarely ready to make the jump up to the Championship.

McNulty was 25 and a forward. CB's are a weird breed, often hard to tell how good they are. I mean, Maguire plays for Man utd and England.
