Looks increasingly like it's going to be introduced, I wonder if Wasps will let us do the corner?

I assume this is where they have the new form of seats that are still installed but locked, and then the barriers to stop any falls etc? If so I doubt wasps would do it just because of simple cost.

Wish 16 would do it tbh. Stand up, sit down, stand up, sit down. Fucking choose one or the other!

maybe they should just do away ends to start with as not many sit down now, and it would make life easoer for stewards.

I’m sure the rugby lot would have a lot to say about it anyway. Boring breed.

Get it done. Standing in railed standing areas is a million.miles away from standing on the terraces of the 80s.
It's as safe as houses.

Does it change capacity or is it 1:1 in relation to seats?

Depends how you do it.

I know that the capacity in the yellow wall is higher for domestic games than European ones but I think the U.K. option would be 1 for 1

whys that then, lots of their grounds have standing areas and can even drink why watching the match.
Theres not requirement for all seaters or drinking bans in Rugby as they dont have idiots all trying to glass each other.

They can't afford to order a few hundred coloured seats to spell WASPS.

Zero chance of them spending on a standing area that wouldn't be used for Rugby matches unfortunately.

One of the reasons I don't go to the CBS very often is that I can't stand up to watch.
However, I stand to watch Cov at the BPA (even though I have a seated ST there, and I'd say more stood on Saturday than sat in the stand).
I think your stereotype doesn't really stack up.
I'd really welcome safe standing and it would certainly get me there more often. Won't happen though.

14-16 is always standing, particularly towards the back.

Yeah i can barely recall a game in the last decade where i've not been able to stand, home, away or neutral, UK or abroad. There's always somewhere.

Actually, that Man City vs Chelsea Charity Shield at Villa Park, i was front row of upper tier and had to sit (2012...?)

But standing in seating areas isn't safe, standing in railed areas is.

No but they're bring back choice. The majority of the grounds will still be seated for those who want to sit.

Exactly this.

It always people to stand and create an atmosphere but stops the arguments that inevitably arise when some want to sit and some stand.

Should do half and half for away areas too

Would be great if they did that in away ends but I think that will be some way off unfortunately.

Can’t see it happening. Personally and strongly believe drinking should stay in the concourse at football games too.

To be honest, the last think I need on a match day is the opportunity to squeeze 2or 3 more pints in

I would be surprised if it was 1:1 as its a way to get more people in & therefore more money. Standing tickets would (in theory at least) cost less, so clubs would need more tickets sold to offset the loss in revenue from cheaper tickets in these bits.

In Germany its well over 2:1

There’s that and someone’s pint ends up all over loads of people when City do a goal

While this is true of smaller grounds I doubt it's an issue here.
The cynics reckoned Jimmy Hills initiative gave us an economic advantage Via the higher entry cost

I feel there should be a pricing differential but doubt there would be one,s space is a space at the end of the day.

Doesn't look like there was a lot of choice to sit in our away support last Saturday.

Worst I ever had it was that Sheffield Utd game at the Ricoh when it all kicked off with the pitch invasion and everything. I was covered in the stuff. Don’t mind a drink, despise wearing it though!

Exactly. But you bring in a railed area and strictly enforce sitting in the seating areas which will be easier because people will be in the appropriate area for what they want to do.

Though as I said in an earlier post I don't see it happening in away ends for sometime so we carry on with the ridiculous scenario shown in the picture you've posted.
