I'm with you CJparker. Thought it was just me for a while after reading all the happy fans after his sacking, but I'd have stuck with him. It's his set of players, he tries to play decent football, and who are we realistically gonna get that's any better? And we should've at least kept him on as chief scout. Seems almost EVERYONE on here wanted him out, yet not heard anyone shouting Thorn out at the games :thinking about:

Did you go against sheff utd or bury? Plenty of people were shouting it!

Plenty of unpopular managers but rarely have fans shouted for their heads.

Because football fans always hold back with shouting and chanting in case of affecting team performance? Don't think so.

I heard only one Thorn out in block 22 23 stairway. Still the most vocal fans are on the forums and appear to have wanted AT gone. Fisher has acted before the gates plunge even lower.
I think AT lost the dressing room long ago but that may not reflect badly on him but the prima donnas we employ who think they are better than they are.

Rightly or wrongly thorn always received very strong support inside the ground, one of the few things I've been proud of as a cov fan in recent years that we stuck by a man doing his best in difficult circumstances.

That aside as strange and harsh as his sacking was i do think it may prove to be the right decision

I ll always remember this. How after sacking so many over the years the one who least seemed like a football manager divided opinion the most
