At least give him one game, then I'll let you have a go. If we lose on Saturday I hope he's gone by Monday

If he only draws his first 3 games, will he be measured by the same standards as Thorn and be fired?

Behave. AT was judged over 18 months, not three games.

AT had longer than that.

Shaw on the other hand wasn't really given much of a chance (although admittedly his record is pretty dire).

New season new squad, first time you could really judge him. He was judged in 45 mins against bury in reality.

Better than being held to Ranson, mind.

Anyone else think it's a strange coincidence that last night he turned up at the match, then today we hire the man he wanted as CCFC manager?

And if, as rumoured, Ince had a problem with the contract length, how long did he want?!

Very fishy indeed. There's something very odd going on that's for sure, even just by him and the motly crew being present last night is an odd one.

Maybe that'll give him some authority. The players might believe he will be there longer than them if they don't buck up their ideas.

Just to say I find this thread's title hilarious.

Plus, I'm surprisingly upbeat about the appointment. Maybe because it's some news, any news, that isn't unremittingly negative.

Maybe a little bit too because it isn't another tired old name that's been doing a mediocre management job for years, Coleman or Reid-fashion.

Yeah.
